A big hello to the Fapstronaut community...!

I'm a father of two children and my eldest son is rapidly approaching (or has already reached!?) the Age of Fap. This sudden realization has spurred me to research this topic and see how best I can help him avoid the worst pitfalls and give him space to naturally develop and maintain a healthy attitude towards girls and sex.

It is also an opportunity for me to reflect on my own experiences - both good and bad - growing up and then through adulthood at a time in history which has witnessed an unparalleled evolution of porn and me witnessing far too much of it...

...to add to the above, after reading some articles earlier I've decided to start a NoFap commitment from today for an initial 30 days. I first thought about doing it in solidarity, but am now enthusiastic to experience the effect.

As a teenager who discovered porn much too early (about 8 years of age), I can definitely say that it's important to help your son develop a proper, healthy perspective regarding women and sex - I myself objectify women far too much, and virtually all my interpersonal relationships have turned foetid, as I focused far too much on sex. 8 years old is truly shocking. I'm sorry to hear it. Boys should just be playing with Lego and building forts on the sofa at that age. Until reading a few fap/porn addiction sites recently I hadn't realized how pervasive this new sickness has become.

Just one unsolicited tip. The less you focus on sex with a woman, initially, the more sex you get in the long run. Not sure it's a universal truth, but it strikes me as being mostly true.
