Hello everyone! I came across NoFap on reddit, and it was a godsend.

My Story
I discovered at around age 12 that certain things just felt really good down there, for reasons I was unable to understand at the time. Not too long after, I realized that I was able to control these things, and realized that images of attractive girls definitely sped up the process. This developed into my porn addiction, although I masturbated in the unconventional prone position, as yourbrainonporn explains. I am now 20, and have been trying to quit this addiction for the past two years. A couple months ago, I came across a support group in my city that met weekly at a very convenient location at a very convenient time, and I was super excited to finally have a support group to help me through breaking this habit. I went to a meeting the first chance I got, and nobody showed up. Confused, I went home and checked the website, and realized it hadn't been updated in three years. I was incredibly discouraged. A week ago I joined reddit, just to look at cool stuff online, and I stumbled across NoFap. It feels great to finally have a support group, and I look forward to walking with you guys on this journey of my life.

My Challenge
I was going to take the 90-day challenge, but I just realized that puts me one day behind my birthday. So, as a birthday present to myself, I will be taking the 91-day challenge, hopefully going from now through December 9th (and beyond) PMO-free.

My Reasons
1) It is against my religion. First off, I will say that I am very tolerant of all religions. Personally, I believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Masturbation is a sin against the Christian God I believe in, and holds me back in my relationship with Him. I want to be a faithful and honourable servant, freeing myself from lust will bring me closer to God.
2) It affects my strength and personality. If I binge on PMO'ing, I've noticed that I actually feel physically sluggish, and a lot more easily irritated and stressed. All I want to do is lay in bed and jack off. I feel withdrawal when I stop, even if only for a few hours. It feels like porn and masturbation are ruling my life sometimes, so I want to rule my own life on my own terms, and break free of this cycle.
3) I want a loving relationship. When I am on a non-mastubatory streak, I view women differently. I see them for their personality, for their inner beauty, for the true qualities that I want in a woman. When I am PMO'ing, all I see sometimes is a pair of tits and an ass. I have never had a girlfriend, and once I do get one I plan on waiting until marriage for sex, so I want any future relationships I have to be built on personality, not on lust. If I continue masturbating, I am almost certain this will not be possible, and relationships could be damaged or ruined because of it.
