    Hi guys,

I am a porn addict. I have been consuming porn in some form or another since I was 10 years old. I am now 27. Wow that really puts it in perspective.. 17 years...

My self awareness around what porn was doing to me physically, psychologically and socially has slowly been building over the past few years.

My first serious realisation was when I realised I needed more jaded and niche material to get the same sexual gratification.

This went from threesomes to BDSM and eventualy to teen porn and then to more humiliating and BDSM teen pron etc.

I have been in a long term relationship for 10 months now and I have realised that my porn use is having a negative effect on my intimacy with my partner and my perception of her as an attractive female.

I really hate my porn addiction and I want to rule it out of my life.

This is my second day PMO free.

My partner is away for another 9 days so after that I will reintroduce orgasm but only in loving intimate intercourse with her.

    Cheers for listening,
    OB

PS: this is my first time taking responsibility and ownership of this addiction. First time rebooting :)

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

Hi D.J. thanks for the welcome,

I am using four strategies so far to combat the enemy:

    1. Porn blocking mechanisms on my search engines on laptop and phone to block image and video search and editing my DNS settings for wifi to block websites.

    2. I have told three people in real life about me trying to be free of PM and they are going to support me.

    3. I have become a member on here and I have set a challenge for myself of 100 days PM free.

    4. I am using exercise (pushups, running and yoga) and meditation to reduce or combat my urges when they arise.

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Currently looking for an accountability partner as another strategy.
