I have a porn addiction. Yes, it's been there since 4-5 years. Yes , I've had this crippling addiction for a long time now. Yes, I do feel guilt,regret and pangs of shame for every moment that I wasted on porn rather than doing something productive. 20 yo undergrad. CS. I'd also struggled with sporadic suicidal thoughts , and life's been pretty shitty so far. Nofap is my last straw.

Thank you for your share, it points out he horrible damaging effects of pmo. Depression, an inability to connect with people, wasted time and energy on nothing more than trying to get to that next 'high' on the chemicals our brain produces when we masturbate.

I could write more, but it's all in the 'getting started' guide. I downloaded it and read it a few times before it sunk in that I could see myself in it. Please, read it. It's well done.

Geez thanks. You know what the best part is though ? Knowing that I am not alone , that people have gone through what I'm going through and have come out victorious on the other side. And yes I did check out the 'getting started guide' , it was really informative. I loved the detailed scientific explanation of how porn has been overriding my natural reward circuitry. All in all , thanks m8 ;)

Hey, sorry - don't get the reference to "death note". Did you mean "death grip"?

I normally keep up, but that one confused me.

Hope it is going well - progress not perfection. The goal is a healthy sexual life, not never having another orgasm - now that would be a "death note".

You always sign as 'L' in the end. Death note is a very popular anime , one of whose central characters is this person called 'L' . So that's why I thought you signed yourself as L
