Hi,
I just found this website and joined after doing some research on how to stop my porn addiction. I’m married but never stopped watching since I could rent Porn then moved to online. I started with straight porn but now also watch gay Porn. I watch when I’m stressed and bored. I know it has changed me and it’s affecting my marriage. Doing some research today was a kick to the head to see how damaged I am and need help. And I never knew others were facing this like me. It has also affected my friendships and I went from being a very social guy to being lonely and letting friendships die over the last few years. I’m at the top of my career and no one at work would guess that I’m adicted. I welcome any advice and help from this group. I see now that this affects everyone, straight, gay, young and old. How do you stop the cycle and move forward? Even my hobbies have taken a back seat.

Welcome to NoFap, Carl. Perhaps you could get an accountability partner, which is someone who will work with you 1 on 1. It will help you be to be accountable to someone. Other than that, keep on fighting. I'm rooting for you.

You might want to go hard mode for a reboot, but that might require explaining things to your spouse, which could blindside them and hurt them even more than you already have. Sometimes, not telling them is kinder than telling them; but if you do tell them, they might be able to support and encourage you, and help you through it.
