As the title says, I have been addicted to pornography for over a decade. At the moment I am 26 and I must have got into it when I was around 13, maybe even 12. The message I got for signing up says I should browse a bit before I make my first post but between here and the sub reddit I have been taking peeks for a few months.

I'm not really sure where to start, I would prefer not to leave a wall of text but I fear it may be inevitable. It was not until June of this year when I realized and I accepted that watching and masturbating to porn every night is a problem. If anyone feels that me going into the details as to why I decided to quit will help, I will gladly share them as long as people don't mind a longer post.

But yes bottom line I do want to quit pornography and masturbation. It has not as an hindered my life in the way I see it has with others. I was still able to finish school with good grades, hold a job etc.. but I am tired of knowing this has a hold on me and I can't control it. The appealing "Super Powers" to me are more energy and less brain fog. Since June I have been off and on with abstaining and relapsing. The most days I ever went without fapping was 13, and today I just relapsed after 5. I know what my main mistake was though, even though I said I wasn't going to fap, I continued to watch porn, relapse was inevitable. I have been on many youtube channels like PornReboot in search of help and advice. So far the most useful and helpful thing I've realized was that urges are temporary and will pass. I suppose it may have been foolish of me to think I could have just said that im going to end this addiction using nothing but willpower alone. If anyone here has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome, brother!! Chad, read and learn as much as you can about this addiction. About what it does to the brain. Read "Success Stories", watch the many NoFap videos on the different sites. You will win this battle, but it's not gonna be easy. You have to KNOW that you will win and know the reasons why you're going to stop this terrible habit.
