hello all,

My hope in being here is to quit pornography completely. I am a Christian who recommitted my life to Christ around 3 years ago and have continued to battle porn through that time. I have had periods of time over 8 months without porn or masturbation in those three years. Porn usually pops up in my head and heart and I fail to abstain from it then do it the next day out of shame and then restart a long period of not watching or masturbating. I have also been struggling to avoid sex with my s/o. Some people here may think that’s not a bad thing but I bring a sex addictive mindset to that. Neither of us want to continue in this until we are married hopefully. I just worry that my tainted view of sex will infect even that. Yesterday was the last time I watched porn and I am just hoping to be encouraged on here by others and use this as a tool to quit. I believe I will be freed from this addiction and know that that is possible. Thanks for your time!
