New Home, new Life

  1. Hey guys,

    my story is as follows.
I come from Germany, so if my formulation is weird thats the reason why. I masturbated since I was 13 till now, which are 10 years. Porn joined in a few years later. I tried to stop watching porn and masturbating several times, but I was never succesful.

The reason why I am here now is because I moved out from my parents house two weeks ago into a little apartment. And beeing in this new surrounding I realized, that this is my chance to change something. I have to reach back a bit to explain this, I hope you don't mind a longer text.

I am a man of habits, so it is very difficult for me to lay down a habit. But, if I can build up one, I somehow manage to maintain it. And the foundation of my new attempt of Nofap lies in a habit. When I was a young teenie I started making a list in my head with people that I don't want to think of in a sexual way. These were close friends and I did not want to have my feelings conflict with my friendships. That list grew slowly longer. I did not put many on it, but the ones on the list were never used in sexual fantasies. So this was my list of "clean people".
Two years ago I bought a new PC. Since it was new, I never watched porn with it and I kinda declared it to stay clean. So I watched porn on my old PC, but not on the new one, which was not really difficult, but it was a small step that turned into a habit.
Last year I bought a new mobile phone. And since it was new, it was clean. And I declared it to stay clean. And it worked.

SO, sixteen days ago on Tuesday 26th of August I moved into my new apartment. And I realized, the new home is clean :) This is the same chance as I had with the PC and the mobile phone. And I decided to try it.
It is risky, because if this fails the hole concept could fail. But if it works, this could be the best time of my life.

So that's the story, why I give Nofap a try again. And I hope this community enhances my changes and that I can also help others.

    So guys, let's fight :)

There are good habits and there are bad habits. Keep the good habits and get rid of the bad ones. Porn addiction - you made the habit and you can break the habit.

    Welcome to the Nofap community.
The NO PMO journey is not easy but worth the effort.
    The community will support you.

    Makes me smile.
I don’t judge another person to be clean or dirty. We all are in our very individual learning process. I don’t fight against urges, I focus on what I really want: true happiness. And very important: I make a new start if I relapse instead of running away.

    Let’s enjoy. :)

But the way: Dein Englisch ist doch prima. Und viel Wohlbefinden in der neuen Wohnung. ;)

  5. Heyyy welcome to the NoFap forum : ) It's nice to see you here fighting the good fight alongside us!

    Here is just some advice:

First and foremost please take a look at each section in the forum, there might be something(s) you may find of big help to you. Feel free to post there :+)

Then secondly I just strongly advise you to be active on your profile(as there quite a few active people in the profile section). Please start by choosing an avatar and then make daily status posts to show you're active and needing support/encouragement. They've also got a neat little feature that shows freshly posted statuses for all users to see. People will find your profile and give you encouragement/support.

People (are beginning to) love communicating in the profilesection..(it should be and is )mostly spportive talk but it doesn't hurt to deviate from supportive talk. It would be great to have you join in and support others in the threads, profiles, and journal, we could always use your help and in return you shall receive some as well!

Thirdly, You should also highly consider creating a public journal and write about your days in more depth for us members to follow along your journey and offer support to you by way of posting in your journal.

Last but not least: Good luck on your journey here, make sure to really give it a try with all your heart!

It is a great thing you are keeping your house ‘clean’ in this way. The spiritual cleanliness is much more important that the physical cleaning of the house. It will always be a pleasure to rent or to buy a house from an owner like you. The house energetics will remain clean and it make your house ideal refuge for those who have insomnia, who suffer from nightmares and for those who have spiritual anxiety. Please keep your house safe from all the potential incidents and make sure you are covered from the financial point of view in case an incident occur. I used the Money Expert home insurance service to keep my property and my family safe. I am very grateful to my insurance company to cover my material losses resulted from flooding, otherwise I would have had to move back to my parent’s house, where I never felt fulfilled and where my sins tormented me.

Stumbled upon this thread. I understand that OP means exactly. When things are "clean", like a tidy and perfect room, or a "clean" computer that has only been used for productive things... You want to keep them that way.

Porn and the lifestyle/habits that come with it make both your house, computer, and self feel dirty... Defiled. After that it's easier to continue being dirty because the cleanliness is ruined. And vice versa.

That's why when I clean my room, apartment, car, computer history lol, I feel better. A clean slate.
