Hey guys it's CJ. I'm currently 25, almost 26 years old. I have been struggling with PMO since 15, but I didn't realize the problem until age 21. I suffer from PIED and have suffered from this since 18. My early PIED was masked by alcohol and marijuana use. In those days, I could only have successful sexual encounters when under the influence of primarily alcohol.

I hit rock bottom around age 22 and began to suffer from brain fog, blurry vision, fatigue, and eye floaters. Around this time, I was in a relationship with a very sexually charged woman and would find myself climaxing between 4 and 5 times per day until these symptoms appeared and I found out that PMO and OE was my problem. I then ended the relationship and visited doctors and had tests ran, which all came back normal. Doctors attempted to blame depression for these symptoms and refused to consider PMO as a cause.

I was 23 with PIED, no help from the doctors, and no support system other than Google. Lol. I found a few websites that spoke on my issues and recommended herbal supplements to help. This was a turning point for me because the herbs definitely bettered my life and helped with some of the aforementioned symptoms, but I continued to PMO up until now.
Around 23, I became very religious and gave up alcohol and marijuana. I realized the benefits of following biblical principles such as abstinence, marriage, discipline, etc. The alcohol and marijuana addiction was somewhat difficult to overcome, but nothing like this porn addiction. This is when I realized just how addictive and dangerous porn is.

Now I am putting my foot down and hoping to build a network with likeminded people to overcome PMO once and for all. My longest streak without it has been 14 days so I definitely have some work to do. Any advice is more than welcomed. See you guys around the forums!

This is probably the best place to start the nofap journey.

Think of yourself as a strong person. You have been able to end the relationship with the girl, abstain from alcohol and marijuana. I believe many of us here do not have that much of a strong will.

For me setting up many goals helps to abstain from PM. I sometimes think of something relatively easy to achieve and a couple of more difficult goals. Then I try to realise it.

Yesterday I had a difficult day and had to use the panic button like a hundred times. One of a sentence said that we should fight for a better future instead of fight the past...

    Stay strong and motivated!
