    I tried E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G over 2 years with no success.ZERO.NADA.

    I can't, I really can't.

Longest for me was 30 days, and it was a hell, waking up and having urges and urges and urges all the days no matter what rainy day or situation; I'm not a robot and for me it's impossible to don't go back and watch porn again.I'm honest here

    Buy today I watched a video about a doctor, talking about nutrition, chemicals, sugar, cognitive functioning and brain pathways;

And one of the things that he said was:

"Your brain doesn't like radical changes, it likes slowly progress. Reason why always these crazy diets fail, is because of the strong neuro-pathways of the brain. People will go to 1 or 2 month, give up of the radical change and get more fat than before. It's the same effect of exploding a bomb near your bedroom.A reason that pro athletes have "Cheat Days" is because of this, and "Cheat Days" are in fact really good and it's the best way to change slowly"

So I thinked..., why the hell here, we don't have some type of cheat days to watch porn and don't go crazy??

Yes, I know that some people here are amazing and can go to 90 days, really awesome,
but for others like me, I think that having this cheat days can make a slow change with very lack of stress and urges.Think about that.

For example people can go from: 3Days-(CheatDay)-3Days (60 Days like this) and then go to 6Days-(Cheat Day)-6Days.

LMK what do you guys think about this, I personally going to do it, SPAM REMOVED (spam code #001) - REPORT TO MODERATION, longterm to change my brain slowly, little urges and zero dramas :)

Think it will be a lot easier for people to relapse that way, but some people will probably be able to do it. But i rather think not beating yourself up to much(no pun intended) if you relapse, and realize the way you have improved in 30 days with one fail will still be very good improvements.

Plotting in a planned cheat day I think will be a definite problem.

Did you hear about the old guy with a young puppy?
Its wagging tail had broken so much porcelain, glass, and pottery, that his wife said the tail had to go. He did not want to give up his dog, so he took it to the vet to get the tail bobbed. He made one request to the vet, "So it won't hurt him so much, could you take off just an inch at a time?"
There is a place for gradual, and there is a place cold turkey. I am appreciating the early results of cold hard turkey enough to hang in there.
Which ever path you take, I will hope you follow through to freedom.

    Hi Snake,

I see your problem. There aren't any 'absolute truths' as to your solution. So this is just an opinion based on how I view it.

I have two thoughts. 1. The sooner you stop the sooner you recover. 2. But nobody deserves to feel bad like you do so it's hard to work around it.

Could you share maybe why it is so important for you to stop PMO? Maybe if you tell a little bit more about yourself, it's possible for you (and us) to see what motivation lies beneath and maybe sharing thoughts on this could give you some powers...

Was trying to say its much better to have an unplanned incident every 30 days, than a planned day. This were the problem of my last reboot. Eventually starting to watch softcore porn, and gently mastrubating without orgasm. Not saying it wont work, but I believe people still will fail in between the cheat days at some point, and what happens then?

Hji29 - I agree, working your way to softcore P, gentle M and no O can help. It can make you re-discover more nuances about your actual desires inside yourself in stead of being fed with pixel-food - blocking your imagination. I would also aim for this.

Think I am a terrible writer today. :p

Doing it softer defiantly helps, but at least for me its a quick way to an extreme relapse. For me it always ends with O, then normal P and harder M. Again: Not saying it wont work, just that I think there are a lot of pitfalls.

@Snake, I don't agree with your method, but I respect you for trying a new approach.

Please let us know how this works out -- make a journal thread! I will be following your account from this point forward, as I am very curious to see how this turns out for you.

    Best wishes.

I guess once you feel the pleasure, you wont be able to say "ok, no more until 7 days, thats my quote".
Youll be like "oh, i did it today, one more wont hurt you.
If you are gradually changing, that should work as a start. But i guess abstaining from PMO should Have more Benefits, im looking after erection, HOCD and brain fog dysfunctions. So i guess ill try the easy mode, and then switch to hard .
