New On Here, Looking To Quit For Good

I'm a 21 year old male, and I have been using all things porn for a good few years now (don't remember exactly when I started, but I was quite young; 14 - 15 maybe). Over the last few years I have tried many times to quit, but have been unsuccessful. I am from a christian background, so I feel as though I can't really tell my friends or family; it's hard to explain, but because in the christian world view using porn is a sin I think it is harder to confide in people.

Anyway, fairly recently I discovered that I like (really like) a certain girl, but I feel like I can't ask her out until I have proven to myself that I can beat this addiction. So I plan to try and go a full month (starting two days ago) without any porn or masturbation. Obviously I don't expect to be free of the addiction at the end of the month, but I hope it will show me that I can actually do this at last.
The good thing about this plan is that, if I succeed, I have a massive reward at the end of it.

I'm so glad I found this place to help me in my struggle, and I look forward to facing the challenge with you guys at my side.
