Hello all:
First of all excuse my english, it isn't my fisrt language. I will give some context on my addiction, as I have read in other posts people does. I'm 27 years old and this is not my first attempt to stop PMO, thoug it is the first one both rebooting and geting involved in a community . I started on watching porn arround the age of 11 or 12. At the begining of my addiction in my highschool years I was engaged for hours a day in gay chat rooms. At the time it didn't affect any other of my responsibilities and kept excelling in school grades.
I't was in college when my grades started droping because I was all night long mixing study with porn watching. So I decided to get help in psychoanalysis. It was very helpfull and I was into it for 5 years, it improoved my addiction but didn't solve it completely. Also, I started using many escapes like social networks, meme pages online newspapers and youtube binge watching. Nowadays I consume more of this escapes than porn.
Recently I'm being treated by a psychiatrist who prescribed me bupropion (Wellbutrin) which helped reduce a little the craving intensity, and told me to join a group of my choice and that's why I'm here.
Is anyone here also taking medication to help with the problem? How is it working?

Welcome. I believe having this site to check in to helps. Porn usage isn't something I want to talk to anyone about, so it can be a bit isolating. Having some visibility of this group has helped me.

Hi
Thanks for being here. Welcome!
Leaving an addictive habit is not an easy job, but .... it will be fully worth it.
So... get some knowledge, read stories, let yourself encouraged by others.
You are not alone in this. So connecting to others is a clue as well!
And don't forget to create a journal.
Writing about your daily stuff may really help you to process the issues.

I hope you will make it a great time here!
thanks. I will open a journal soon
