After having relapsed a couple of times after the best streak in my life. 38 days. Ive taken many steps into getting rid of Porn out my life. Ive disabled porn on absolutely everything I can. I got someone else to set the passwords and they're hidden in a safe that I don't have the key for. Lol. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Of course this person doesn't know why I had them set a password and hide it.

Anyway. So even though I've done all of this. There are still two devices which I can access Porn on, my Smart TV and my Xbox console. The last two relapses have been on these devices. Having them in my room is just too tempting. They need to be removed.

I can't rely on just willpower alone to beat this addiction. I realise now that I've been trying to quit for the better part of 3 years and to be honest, that's just embarrassing. I will have to remove these devices from my room. That also means less time spent gaming. I know I'll be bored but I'll be much better off for doing so.

I'm imagine that there are plenty of people that could benefit from doing this. I remember reading a long time ago about a guy who tried and tried to quit Porn but he didn't manage to do it with willpower alone. So he took a hammer to all of his devices. Which seems extreme I know but it worked for him.

    Time to take this seriously.

Not going to lie; I've seriously considered the hammer technique. I hope it does not come to be, but I would not be surprised if the hammer comes out before I'm through.

Don't really feel like smashing up thousands of $$$ though. Probably a better idea to just place them at a relatives house where you can't use them.

I've managed to block everything on my iPhone. By using restrictions in the general settings. So even if I don't have wifi I still can't look at porn.

That's the right attitude. I don't know what the best option is, but is it possible to just sell them? At least make a little money if you're going to get rid of them, I suppose.

Anyhow, if that's what it takes, that's what it takes. I actually lived about seven years of my life without a home Internet connection, TV, DVD player, smartphone, computer, etc. It was kind of strange, and most people thought there was something seriously off about me, but it got me away from PMO, so I don't have the slightest regret.

Obviously, it's your life and you've got to live it the way you see fit, but if getting rid of your Xbox and Smart TV is going to get porn out of your life, I'd strongly recommend doing so.

That's great. I feel like all of this stimulation from TV's, gaming consoles, phones, apps, YouTube, porn. It has seriously affected the population. Rewind to older generations that grew up on playing in the dirt and reading books as fun. They had so much more drive, ambition.. more fulfilled lives.

All this stimulation from all the stuff we have now it's seriously affected the latest generation. There's so many lay abouts and lazy kids these days. Myself included. The depression rate is the highest it's ever been. Erectyle dysfunction has shot up in young men in the last 20 years. Our brains aren't meant to handle all of this.

I feel like the world would be a better place without all this instant gratification and desensitising. You always hear the older generation complaining about the new generation, but they're completely right. Its actually terrible that 5 years olds would rather sit indoors playing console games than go out and play in the mud.
