35 y/o male. I recently disclosed my porn history to my wife of 7 years which has rocked our relationship. I'd kept this a secret for years. I'm afraid of losing my wife. My porn use progressed to primarily transgender pornography when I was a teen. I used to watch it daily multiple times/day when I was younger, its been less in recent years but still a problem. I developed some derealization and thoughts about questioning my sexuality. To the point of suggesting I may be transgender to my wife. I was was relieved to read so many stories of people who have had similar experiences and realized they were attracted to or wanted to transition and that it was due to the pornography use. I feel hopefully that I can stop with the support of NoFap. Any suggestions are appreciated. I'm on day 4 with no porn.

God put you together in your mothers womb. He owns you. Go to Him. You can be forgiven but you will still have to deal with your consequences but you will receive comfort. It won’t be easy though but is necessary to be healed. FULLY! I’m on that same road. And welcome!

  5. Hi JMO welcome to the forum. I just wanted to suggest watching the Ted Talk - The Great Porn Experiment by Gary Wilson. He talks about what you are going through in the video and it may be helpful to you. I would also recommend the book Your Brain On Porn by Gary Wilson. The video pretty much summarizes the book but if you want more in depth info this is a good book to buy. Everyone should read it in my opinion. There are others like you who have similar experiences with transgender porn who also question their sexuality. that I've read about. I think quitting porn will definitely benefit you. I think you should also see if masturbation abstinence for a short period would also benefit you as well.
