Hi guys as the title says I'm new to NoFap and really want to solve the issues I have. I've been watching porn and masturbating as early as 10 years old, I'm now 22 and for those that are wondering I'm male.

Within the last year or so I have realized how much of a negative effect masturbation and porn have had on my life. It has been almost a daily activity sometimes more than 3-4 times a day possibly more if I'm bored. When I was younger in my teens I always thought that I'd grow out of masturbating and that it was normal for a guy in their teens to masturbate frequently. Now at the age of 22 I want to start to take control and let masturbation be a positive thing that doesn't take over my life.

I've tried several times to cut down or completely stop masturbating and I always end up relapsing. I'm going to attempt the 90 day abstinence from pmo, I know this will be a struggle for me, so was wondering if any of you guys could give me some hints and tips.

While I feel that masturbation is completely normal and acceptable, I do feel that it is having a negative impact on me due to the frequency. I do often worry that years of excessive masturbation may have had a negative impact on my testicles as well as lowering my testosterone levels. I'd like to know if these negative side effects can be reversed from abstaining from masturbation and porn?

Today is a new start for me so I am currently on a 0 day streak, hoping to get to 90!

    Welcome! I'm glad you're here.

Obviously, I'm not a doctor, but I think you shouldn't worry about any lasting negative health issues. The body knows how to heal itself.

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

Welcome stopthefap. I doubt there's something irreversibly wrong with your stuff mate. I remember three years ago, I watched a youtube video of a guy who said that he thought he was in chronic depression for years till it was discovered that he was low on testosterone, so he started the treatment and got better in no time.
So even if that's the case A) You'd know something's not right. B) It's treatable. So don't beat yourself over it.
Also, it's widely accepted here that one of beneficial effects of NoFap is raised testosterone levels. I think we men can literally feel it rise by day, it's the thing that makes you think you can punch through walls.
