    Hi to All!

I came across this site (what I was going to say was "by accident"), however, I think/believe it was designed to show up now in my life, and reading through the site it resonated with me Loud and Clear, and I know I need to be here and most importantly to start this journey of "NoFap"

PMO has consumed my life for many years, and has had an impact on my relationship with my partner and with my true self, and it's time to make a serious change in my lifestyle.

Through my meditations there were 3 areas of my life that were brought to my attention that needed to be cleaned up (or actually done away with completely), in order to finally be "ME" the me that I was trying to hide from and I hid behind all 3 listed items:

    1. Alcohol--As of today I am 21 months sober
    2. Social Media Apps (gear towards sex--substitute for porn watching)--It's several months now or close to year I no longer find any interests in using such apps
    3. Porn / Cam Sites: Is now the last on the list to deal with.

I truly believe I had to deal (or be healed), of each in the order I have listed them.

I couldn't not have done all 3 at once, and alcohol kept me bond to items 2 and 3.

I had mentioned earlier that I came upon this site "by accident", no it was truly meant for me to come across this site. There is a season for all things, and this is the right season for me to embrace "NoFap"

I look forward to sharing with others, to be a support to others, and receiving support from others as well.

Until another time be good to yourselves!

    Namaste!

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

Thank you D.J., for your reply. Noticed your length of time of PMO--Wow and Awesome! Congrats!
D.J., I've just started the journey of Rebooting as yesterday (4/7/2017), a couple strategies I will be using, my daily meditations will continue, and now that I have my home gym set up, will get back into my workout routines (which I hope will be a distraction from PMO). Thanks again!

I like your quote in your profile: "I don't think boredom gets enough blame for the trouble it causes." Many of times my PMO sessions were the results of being so bored. Good Luck to you as well!

  8. Namaste, and welcome. You will find lots of stories here similar to yours, possibly some even darker and sounding hopeless. But this is a place to be open and free about what has been holding us back, what trips is up, and to share our successes. Good luck on this journey, and congratulations on all your progress so far!
