  1. Hello 24 year old guy in the US here. I've been on Nofap going on about 5 years now...but I never got past 38 days. That probably says a lot about how deep this addiction festers inside me. It's depressing how debilitated this addiction has left me. I'm currently on day 4 and honestly, this can't just be a streak this time, it has to be a lifestyle change. Not sure how deeply I should delve into my addiction on here or not...I've browsed a few threads on here where people talk about the same pmo-induced fetish that I have, and for some reason at least two of them went into unnecessarily, vivid detail almost as if they were trying to write an erotic story or something. I'm not sure how that's supposed to help but w/e. Anyways I've ranted long enough. I'll definitely be around here quite a bit!

Welcome. I agree with you about not focusing on the problem, so we can focus on the solution. Consider the possibility that people who don't have the exact same fetish can be helpful in your journey. Yes by all means lets talk lifestyle change.

  3. Oh yeah, I definitely know agree that people that don't have the same fetish can be helpful. I was just a bit disheartened to see that a few posters here with the same fetish sort of mirrored enthusiasts on some websites catering to it. I was happy to see quite a few of Fapstronauts weren't entertaining it at all. Even if we don't share the exact affliction the symptoms are the same, and that's the common enemy. We gotta get through this.

    Welcome
Please, start studying carefully what's happening in your mind > https://oceanrecoverycentre.com/2016/07/the-ultimate-guide-to-overcoming-internet-porn-addiction/

First time without porn will be stressful , but if you resist , in some months you will feel reborn.

If the first times a person relapse easly, it's okay.
The streaks becomes even longer , day by day.
Don't porn anymore, it's better to struggle and at the last to relapse than to look at porn.
No more instagram pictures of models. No more erotic imagines , erotic stories or erotic asmr.
If you experience ''flatline'' and low libido , resist.

The brain will try to win you and to get some triggers for the seek of dopamine. Resist

Unfortunately it's true , not all the threads are safe and free of triggers. NoFap should be a safer place...
But they are sick people , that's why they want to describe every details. We have to empathize them instead of blaming.
However in first weeks every content is triggering , so do not browse your fetish.
The tyme to eliminate it will come.
I've overcome porn dependence. But fetish is a bigger fight. Actually I'm fighting for this .
    So begin fighting porn

  5. Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm actually slightly lucky in the fact that seeing attractive women in yoga pants and stuff doesn't really trigger me unless the outfit is really skimpy, I'm talking like near pornographic levels of skimpiness, and the same thing with how the woman poses in pictures and stuff. But when I do come across pornographic images, it definitely does affect me quite strongly. I'm not sure if pornography cause OCD or not, I probably had it prior to porn use, but it definitely exacerbates it by far. And once I get sexual nude images, sexual stories in my head it's just a constant decline. Honestly, I can't do MO either, I've tried that in the past and it always leads back to justifying pornography use. I've done a bit of research on Semen Retention and I think even without pornography, that masturbating outside of the sexual activity with our partner, is squandering our potential. There's just much better things that we can be doing, that being said P is definitely the big bad wolf, I consider MO to be like pups haha. It's awesome that you overcame your porn dependence awesome job man! I hope I can overcome mine soon, right now my dependence for porn is invariably linked to my fetish, makes sense since that where my fetish came from. So giving even a moderate amount of of thought to that fetish causes me to really want to PMO. But whenever I get really strong urges, I'm just going to come right here and for encouragement. That really helps the desire die out.

  7. I know what you mean about people being too descriptive sometimes. I developed a few fetishes and even though P is no longer a problem for me (I last looked a P 11 years ago) I am here on NoFap trying to overcome my addiction to MO and old fetishes. The thing that helps me the most is to choose to stop thinking about the fetishes. Initially it helps to talk about them so that you are not alone and that you are not weird for having a fetish. So that was helpful to me. But there comes a point that focusing too much on the problem just triggers us. The best way to overcome the magnetic pull of a fetish is to stop thinking about it. We must erase those memories. The way we erase or forget our past is to stop entertaining those thoughts. We forget that which we stop thinking about. And we change for the better.

You will get past 38 days. You just need the proper motivation and support. I created a challenge that you are welcome to join retroactively. We started 4 days ago and we are all going to make it to 100 days together. No pressure.

    Best of luck to you.

  8. Thanks Nico! This community is so nice and welcoming for the mosr part definitely feels like a place to call home. And great job with the 91 day streak dude! Keep it up.

Thanks for the encouragement. And yeah, I'm definitely getting through this, I've wasted way too much time on that poison. But woah 11 years no P, man that's really awesome. That greatly inspires me. You already beat the goliath now just have to clean up the rubble (MO) you definitely got this. You said you still have the fetishes, so I'm wondering were they porn induced or not?

  9. I think Porn turned my natural curiosities into full fledged fetishes. They are lingering problems that I have to deal with on occasion (they survive on their own without me feeding them with P). Over the past 1.5 years I’ve only relapsed to fetishes twice (no porn). So I feel like I’m trending in the right direction. I only joined NoFap about 1.5 years ago. It has definitely helped me focus on fighting these problems. And I have been seeing improvement over time. I used to masturbate every couple of weeks. Now it happens every 3-4 weeks. I used to indulge in fetishes once a month. Now it’s more like once every 9 months.
