Hey all, I have known about nofap for a long time now and have visited the site a few times but haven't taken giving up porn and masturbation seriously at all until now. I have wanted to give it up for a long time now but kept failing over and over again. I noticed a trend with my resets and I believe it is due to social media. I would constantly browse social media, see attractive woman, and feel like I lose control and then immediately browse porn on the internet for hours. I plan on cutting off social media while I am on this nofap journey to 90 days and I joined the site to find like minded individuals to surround myself with. I am determined to beat this addiction! Glad to finally be here.

 

I’m getting off social media as well. Wasted a lot of time on it. Idolized people I never knew in person. For me personally, being social (real socialization) means connecting with people and enjoying their conversations. Social media is virtual socialization, which isn’t even remotely the same as real socialization. Virtual socialization is creepy, repetitive, unproductive, and not natural.
