Hello, newbie Fapstronaut here. Upon reading Gary Wilson's book Your Brain on Porn, I accepted the fact that I am addicted to PMO. I have confided in two people that I intend to do NoFap for 90 days and subsequently quit porn and masturbation forever. One of my confidants was encouraging; the other had an opinion that porn and masturbation was 'normal' and 'healthy'. On my smartphone I have this app called mdf and my counter reads 6 days, with my best streak being 12 days. To this date, I have made 4 attempts on quitting. Anyway, I have resolved myself to take on this challenge, starting with the deletion of all erotic material from all devices. So, I deleted the hentai and porn on my iPad and smartphones and set up porn and ad blockers. And then I stumbled upon a video on my computer...and watched it. Turns out it was a compilation video. In other words, I failed. I did my research. Watching P without M or O is already considered edging because it still triggers dopamine release and renews the neural networks I was trying to break. So I'm going to take the plunge and finish it, to stop this from becoming actual edging. Then I will start again, and log my progress here until I achieve my goal. This is my resolve. And hopefully this attempt at quitting will be successful (hence the last).
