Hello, guys. My name is Andre, I'm a 29yo from Brazil who just realized how porn has been affecting my life. I used to think that fapping was a simple everyday activity like go to work or do the dishes: it was part of my day and I did not necessarily enjoy it. I have been training Jiu-Jitsu for the last 5 years, but in recent months I have no motivation at all to keep up my training. First I thought the reason should be the pressure that I'm under at work, but even in my days off I had no energy to read, run or train. So I realized how much time I'd been spending locked in my room watching porn and fapping, sometimes twice or thrice a day. After some search on the Internet, precisely a week ago, I decided to quit porn and masturbation. At first, I was not very believing about this, but I feel much better now about everything in my life. I have a feeling that it has been harder to handle with this craving for porn and I need to speak this out to other people and get some advice. I'm single and I do feel very embarrassed to share this with my friends.
    Sorry for broken English

First of all, your English writing was easily understandable. Well done!
It is good that you recognize that porn is a problem in your life. Since you are looking for advice, here are three pieces of advice:

You can leave your door and curtains open. That means less privacy. People watch porn in privacy, so with less privacy, you are less likely to masterbate and watch porn.

You should find a productive activity to do when you feel a craving. That gives you the opportunity to distract your mind from porn and you can develop a new skill or hobby.

It is good to read threads posted here on NoFap. The threads can answer many questions that you may have.

    Good luck!

@Ravengel Hi and welcome to NoFap your in the right place. You sound like your beginning to notice the effect that your pmo is having on your life and training so thats a good thing. This website has plenty of resources to understand porn addiction and plenty of information on how to better control your urges to fap. The more you pmo the less your self esteem and energy levels so its a good thing you noticed and are already beginning to make some changes to curb it. In your inbox there will be an email with lots of useful information and tips, at the top of the page there is a panic button which links to positive quotes, images, and videos to help you keep your urge to fap in check. Start a journal where you describe your feelings and what works for you so you can learn about yourself and your triggers to pmo. Also read others journals and posts, and if you have something that has worked for you share it with those people. Get yourself a counter so you can keep track of you progress. Good luck with your training and with your non-pmo mission.

Thank you all guys for your kind words. It's a really good piece of advice to start a journal, I think it will keep me focused and strengthen my resolution.
