No MO only P

    Because I cannot let go of it and is this a good thing or a bad thing?
    I know PMO goes into a sequence but what if someone breaks the sequence like me, I only watch porn for fun (which is not a good thing) and I wanted to ask that will this affect my brain (confidence etc) because I thought that only MO effected your brain (dophamine levels).
    Some help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    I strongly believe that P affects they way you experience the second sex, you see the second sex behaving degrading then slowly you'll think that the second sex actually likes to be degraded. I also believe that it's affecting your own perception of sexuality thus your own gender.
     
  3. Hi Soldier. Your problem is artificial sexual stimulation, and there is no greater artificial sexual stimulation than porn. You say you watch porn for "fun." No. You don't. You watch porn for the same reason every other guy here watches porn, to get a dopamine high through artificial sexual stimulation. Have you ever asked yourself what is "fun" about watching porn? Ask yourself, what is fun about it? Why do you watch it? Can you articulate, write down, explain to me, to yourself, what is "fun" about it? I am not trying to put you on the spot, I am trying to get you to ask the questions you need to ask to solve the problem. There is only one reason porn is interesting to you and that is because you are getting a dopamine high from it. The problem is High Speed Internet Porn specifically, because that allows for you to never see the same image twice, if you don't want to, and that allows for constant searching, ala the Coolidge effect, which, due that part of the brain that rewards new, novel, and even shocking sexual images, means you can get a dopamine high every day, multiple times a day, for years. You must understand the problem is 100% in the brain. You don't need to be PMOing or MOing to get a dopamine high, merely watching porn gives you that high. The problem, artificially induced dopamine high, requires no physical act at all, it can and often is purely in the brain. Hypersexual thoughts leading to a dopamine high. I think you see the problem yourself when you say you do something for fun that is not good for you.

    You need to do the hard 90. No porn, no PMO, no MO, no sex, no O. You need to have three months with no artificial sexual stimulation. You also need to ignore that part of yourself that is telling you MO is not artificial sexual stimulation. Dude, it is. It is not sex. And, unless you are thinking of making origami while doing it, you are using artificial sexual thoughts during it. Once you get on the other side of the hard 90, once you get rebooted, then ask yourself who you are and who you want to be and what you want to have in your life in the say of your sexuality. But get clean first. You will find once you get clean your confidence levels will greatly increase because then you will be in control of you.

    Thanks a lot for your help, it means a lot to me. By having fun I meant that whenver I get bored, I see hot chicks getting banged etc ( I don't want to get into the details).
     
  7. The thing is this, dopamine abuse does feel "fun". It feels good, it feels great. That is why you watch porn, why I did, why everyone does. Take time to study your problem. You cannot defeat your enemy if you have not studied the enemy and know the enemy.

    I have to say that for me stopping relapse into P was harder than MO. One thing at a time, though. P is not good for you, for your brain, nor for your relationships. So, it's definitely a priority.

    Not to discourage you. Do what works for you if you need to at least break a PMO cycle, experiment with strategies to train yourself to get out of that bad cycle. But, I'd also say that won't really fix your life. Quitting P will be necessary to really be cured of sexual and relationship dysfunction.

    I figured it out why I keep relapsing, despite the fact that I hated porn for a few days, I stumbled upon some bikini clad women which incited me to open up porn websites and thus PMO. I know that this will be a tough journey but I am glad that I have toned down a lot from before and I need to install some anti-porn software to prevent me from accessing any porn websites. Thanks a lot WilliamOneAndDone you are an inspirational person and I appreciate your efforts.
