Anything is possible. If abstinence from jacking off keeps your ears quiet, then you have to decide what is more important, peace and quiet or a good nut.

My tinnitus didn't go away, even after i stopped. My phone volume is a little over half way up, and this is drowning out my tinnitus. Prayerfully there will be a cure. I would love to know what it feels like to “hear” nothing. I visit ear wax removal doctor once in three four months and my ringing becomes a little more quiet.

  4. Maybe. The body is strange. I have visual snow, which kicked in with lots of other symptoms when I had a major stress breakdown a few years ago. Some call visual snow the 'tinnitus of the eyes', so maybe.

Lately, tinnitus has been a constant reboot symptom for me. It becomes more noticeable when going to sleep.

Just a little message of hope for those suffering of tinnitus. I got mine after a loud noise in a headset. I was really miserable for few months, even did a panic attack because I was afraid to stay like that forever, but then like 6 months after my brain clicked and decided to ignore the sound. It's still here, but it feels way lower and if I don't focus on it I just don't hear it. Back then I could still hear it when I drove and the only place when I didn't hear it was in the shower. Now I basically just hear it when I'm in my bed, but it's somehow comforting even though I hated the song at first.

I used a device called "sound oasis" that allows you to play sound like rain falling, a fan, etc, that will mask the tinnitus. Sometime it feels good just to be in the "silence" once in a while. Every tinnitus is different so find the song that will be the best. My tinnitus is very high pitched (13kHz) and I used crickets that I recorded in my garden. I randomly placed the cricket noise and because it was similar to my tinnitus, I couldn't know if I heard a cricket or if it was my tinnitus. It helped without being tiring to listen to.
Eventually I stopped using the device and now I'm fine with it. Trust your brain, the human body is amazing and can adapt to many scenario.
