Very good that NoFap is getting exposure! Unbelievable that things like PIED aren't officially recognized tho.

Yes @Haizam , Alexander struggles every month to keep this site running. You should consider (and everybody else) to become a premium member, which means you pay 10 or 20 dollars per month. This is the only way this site will never dissapear, becasue opposite to what the article says, he does not sell advertising, neither our lists of members

The photograph came at a bad time, I was extremely busy that week. In retrospect, if I realized how many people would see it, I probably would have carved out time to shave and get a haircut. I did both of these things yesterday and am looking a lot less homeless.

It's quite sad that PMO is not a recognized addiction. It clearly disrupts lives, family's, and relationships. But, I understand how it can be difficult to rally troops for something nobody wants to talk about.

Most, if not all of us, here are deeply embarrassed by our addictions. We hide behind usernames offering each other as much help as we can. However, if we were to come out about our addictions we would be labeled as perverts or weirdos or sickos anything but a person with a serious mental addiction.

PMO addiction thrives in secrecy and darkness. Unfortunately, until we as a society learn to not be embarrassed by our bodies and the act of making love, i.e. sex, PMO addiction will always be an issue.

    Hello Hiazam,
Yes new generation is really in danger because of porn websites on the internet, these innocent adult use internet they find there porn and that's how they diverts, once they watch porn then it becomes hard to abstain from these habits because they don't know about reality that these habits can ruin their life, because ever human beings have sexual desire this is why adult start to fulfill that desire but as the time pass watching porn and then do masturbation become their habit and at that time it start to ruin their Social life, career focus, physical health, mental health, self confidence, discipline etc.

Note: I must mention it here is that porn and masturbation addiction start from sexual desire when a person become new adult at that time they don't know the side-effect of these habits on their Brian and more things they do masturbation just for enjoyment but later on when they become addicted then they do Not Do these habits because of sexual desire but they do when they feeling sad, depress, frustrated, shameful, etc.
IN SHORT , they do these habits to escape from reality, they found the way to solve their life problems by doing these habits don't get me wrong but you are escaping from the reality, from your problems, from your dream.
    Final words:
WAKE MY BROTHER AND SISTER YOU ARE WARRIOR NOT A SLAVES OF THESE HABITS YOU CAN BREAK THEM, TAKE YOUR SWARD AND START A WAR ON THESE HABITS TO BREAK THEM.
REMEMBER ONE THING ROM WAS BUILD IN ONE DAY, FAILING MANY TIME TO ABSTAIN FROM THESE HABITS IS NORMAL PART OF THE SUCCES, BUT JUST DON'T LOSE HOPE AFTER FAILING STAND UP AGAIN LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES AND START WAR AGAIN I GUARANTEE YOU ONE DAY YOU FIND THE RIGHT WAY TO BREAK THESE HABITS.

I'm glad you don't associate with churches or religion. There's a lot of religious people that use NoFap, but this site's independence supports the view that porn and the troubles derived from it are more than a religious issue.

It's not about porn damaging our relationship with some deity. It's about porn damaging our relationships with one another. My life is better without it, no question. Without NoFap I'd still be using porn, and I know this because I tried to quit umpteen times without NoFap.

Awesome job Alex! totally proud of you man, (and all of the nofap crew)

i read the article and it was great, its fantastic to see Nofap get so much helpful media attension, as far as im concerned you are a modern day hero and i have no doubt that you have saved countless amounts of peoples lives because you were brave enough to be honest and big hearted enough to want to continue your important work helping us! i knew there were cyber attacks on this site and that you and the moderators have been fighting back against that on a daily basis but i never knew about the death threats and scumbags sending porn to your dads place,it really shows what an upset Nofap is to the spiteful porn industry, well i and all the fapstronauts have got your back dude, you are doing the right thing and you have already helped humanity so much by starting this revolution!

Much respect to you and the team, great interview, ill be looking forward to seeing more!

Nice one Mr. Rhodes, but as for the pro-premarital sex belief... Let's hope you won't have to create a new NoShag website for people that have been unfortunate with breeding unwanted children prematurely (because of condom failure, because duuh - every progressive-minded person uses one), or acquiring STDs.

To me, NoFap has always been about general sexual restraint (despite the name suggesting a limited scope), and it means nothing to me if combined with loose approach to sexual interactions with flesh-and-bones humans.

They need to hire a better writer. That story was informative, but really didn't provide any useful insights about NoFap, P, or really much of anything.

Specifically, what was the point about talking about his sleeping bag and camping? It never led to any overarching theme, or point to the story. There was some good information in there, but the observations were not connected and didn't seem to lead to anything significant. Come on, NYT.

Yeah it is quite good. I'm Christian but I know that the scientific, anecdotal and moral arguments are easily convincing enough to get people to realise pmo is harmful. And I love it how we are free to discuss things with our fellow believers here, (because their are heaps) and also to the secular users. It just further emphasises that porn is harmful no matter what you believe.

    And @alexander , I love you :p

    Nofap in summary:
"As the session continued, he spoke less about pornography than about the need to take care of oneself, both physically and emotionally. He talked about developing good habits and routines, about changing one’s life in general"

Thanks a lot Mr Alexander. For all your efforts, you and the rest of the team behind this site. I'll surely remember to give back to this community as soon as I get my first paycheque. Otherwise keep up the good work!
