So I've been back on nofap for nearly two weeks and made a few posts. I'm starting to post to other people's posts to try and help or join in. But noone is replying or encouraging me. Its like going to an empty AA meeting. If this forum is going to work, people need to support each other - thats the only way this will work! Come on - help each other!
  2. You sound little depressed, please be strong, we are all in same mode, im day 17 :)

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Really appreciate it - just looking for a little support - that's all. I know we're all in the same boat so lets help each other. I just want to find people going through the same crap and be able to talk about it with them. Listen and share with each other and get each other through - you know what I mean? I figured that was what this site was about. Guess I'm just shouting a little louder here so I can be heard - whats your story?
  4. Now I understood more what you mean. Yes we messed up and need each other's support.

My story is 37yo men still virgin, trying to quit last 5 years, longest freedom was 6-7 months.

One really good thing I thought today was, imagine you got sick and took a pill then the feeling of healing gives you the happiness, I mean you really feel it, that's the feeling I have now everyday and I'm so happy now.

We really don't have to have sex everyday, the reason we have this urge is to keep humanity continuing, not to have the pleasure. Emotional attachment between male and female is more essential. When a girl loves you, she will not let you go away just because you have ED.

Try to think the way I think, try to be positive, change your diet to healthier, never eat excess sugar (it's the biggest trigger), find natural medicines that stops the urge and supports the emotions, count everyday as %1 cured (don't say day 15, instead say im cured %15 today).

I hope we all completely delete porn from our lives, that's the only cure.

Thanks for replying and glad to meet you. My story is I am trying to give up webcams after getting hooked on them about 4 years ago. I don't have a big issue with porn as I can take it or leave it - don't have addiction issues with it. I have an addictive personality and struggled with gambling and gaming addictions in the past but have thankfully managed to conquer these. My addictive side has latched onto cams and I am finding it hard to stay away from them. I have a wife and two kids and we are, on the whole, pretty good. I want to kick this habit, find out what is driving me to it, and channel that into something more positive in my life. And hopefully I can help some others on the way.

You say you've come back to Nofap... that is a good thing. I've been back and forth several times now. As someone who has an addictive personality (I come from a long line of alcoholics) I can feel for you. I wont re-tell my story here... suffice to say that I've done a lot of things that I regret and hurt a lot of people in the process. You hit the nail on the head with your statement above "find out what is driving me to it"... knowing triggers and underlying reasons is very important. Believe it or not, boredom is one of my biggest issues. I really find it helpful to read others posts as well. Take Care.

Even if no one replies to your threads, you still gain something from writing it. Writing some of your thoughts down is a great way of processing whatever is going on in your head. It's also a great alternative to watching porn!

Nevertheless, if people still aren't replying to your posts, here's some advice that might help:
    1. Write longer posts. When you give others more information to work with, it's easier to find something to respond to.
    2. Make sure your post is categorized under the correct section of the forum. This thread, for example, is in the wrong sub-forum. It should have probably been posted under the "NoFap Technical Support" sub-forum instead. If you're not sure about whether or not you're posting under the correct sub-forum, go to the sub-forum you want to post under and look for the pinned thread called "What is this sub-forum and what belongs here?"
    3. Be patient. Sometimes it will take a long time before anyone responds to your thread.

  8. Hi there! Keep reaching out like you're doing--this is a big community, and sometimes posts get missed as new threads are posted. But we are all in this together! I hope you find the encouragement you need.
  9. Welcome, Brother!
At the beginning I have to write something very important - Plese, be very, very vigilant, urges are the strongest in this period. I was on the 18th day 3 days ago. Today I am on the 2nd day and I am begging time to go faster because I still feel poison in my brain.

What I am going to write now will be very controversial, but all this to help you.
You have the last chance to beat this!
Now you've got a lot of answers and a whole sea of help that will arrive, but normally you'll probably get about two / three answers. Do not waste it, you can post even your actions here every week.
How many years has passed since you decided to quit?..
Come on, the world is Yours! (Ours)
