Firstly, I highly recommended this website and I hope it reveals more truth to you about the harmful effects of porn addiction: https://fightthenewdrug.org

Comparing this website to NoFap is like the difference between an orange and and an apple, they both serve different functions and they both do it well. But I feel like fight the new drug really nails down the harmful side effects of porn with growing scientific research, especially concerning the area of love, relationships, and sex trafficking. I feel like here we base benefits off of lists that can often be a little exaggerated, while many people's goal of quitting NoFap is to "get girls" with their benefits. It really breaks my heart to see so many relapses taking place, and I often wonder if it's because solely of their reason to quit porn why they struggle. I'm sorry if I sound as if I'm judging them, I'm not any better and I recently got out of a relapse pit.

This website has introduced things to me like the phrase "porn kills love" that I can write down over and over again to get it into my head, because I am quitting porn for my future spouse and I want to experience love. It has motivated me tremendously. Another quote I saw: "You can't be anti-sex trafficking and pro-porn." They also discuss how porn fuels human trafficking.

Anyway, I hope that this website will change your perception of why you want to quit porn as it did to me. You can do this!

I like this FTND organization. They have different tools to show people how porn can addictive, I watched "Brain, Heart, World" docuseries and it definitely best documentaries I have ever seen. Also they have a lot of quality information on their website and they have podcast series called " Consider Before Consuming" on Spotify. And I think they may grow better with Nofap.

No not at all. The front page of the website says it's non-religious and non-profit

  4. That’s a great website. I’ve shared a couple articles from there at my SAA meeting and the guys appreciated them.

Lol I typed some long rant in response, but I removed it because it was immature.
I looked up other people's opinions on the matter, specifically those who don't like "porn kills love"

And yeah I agree it is pretty offensive and full of Mormon stuff. But, well, society and research can say what they want about porn and how it is not as harmful as FTNG says, but this photo right here really made me feel something deep. And to say there is no truth in it is silly. Anyway, thanks for opening my eyes to a different perspective. to-the-boys.jpg

  6. FTND has been a very good and helpful website.

    This one too.

But as to the point of the OP, I agree with the stance that both should stay separate.

A religious influence could result in allowing overly enthusiastic religious folks take control and manipulate the site. That would scare away non-religious people that truly want help.

Alexander can run this site 100% his way and FTND can run their site 100% their way.

We all can bounce back and forth between sites and take what’s helpful.
