NOFNOS: 30-Day NoFap/No Soda Challenge (Inspired by Tim Ferris' Post)

    I'm currently completing a 15-day challenge and came up with the idea of adding more of a challenge to the next level, 30 days.

    Tim Ferris (I'm a BIG Tim Ferris fan!) had a 30-day challenge (http://fourhourworkweek.com/2014/07/30/nobnom-no-booze-no-masturbating/) that I was never able to do it.

    I wanted to see if I can do it now.

    Here are the rules:
    1. No masturbation/porn and no soda (Yes, I'm replacing beer with soda!) for 30 days.
    2. If I "mess up" on either of those days, I owe $10 per "episode" to NoFap as a donation.
    3. I'll report on this thread each day of the challenge. If I miss or forget to post, the challenge still stands.

    The challenge starts on August 16th at 0900 and ends on September 16th at 0900.

    Feel free to join if you dare....

    First day down, woke up with some pretty intense feelings, gf helped though but didnt O. A little frustrated right now but have a busy day ahead so it will keep my mind active on other things.

    Congratulations! My advice: Realize that your body AND your mind are rebooting. Don't focus on trying to get away from something. Instead, focus on what you want to move your mind to. Plan your day in advance. Get some exercise in. Your mind will still have feelings and urges. You are just changing how you respond to those urges.

    Day 3: Had a moment where I failed something and the thought came into my mind. Then I was like "Would that be a worse failure?"

    Got on with my day.

    Reporting in later because I had some work to do.

    I'm in. I'm trying to eat healthy so I was already planning to eliminate soda.
    I also stopped sapping wine when I'm home alone (yes I was a bit young for that but i never drank more than a glass in a week)

    Are you talking about creating a tracker? If so, go to https://pmo-tracker.appspot.com/. You'll need to be logged into a Google account to set this up. Once you set this up, copy the code and put it on the "Signature" section of your page (Just go to the top right corner where your name is and click "Signature".

    Awareness: Morning's are the worst time for me. After about afternoon, I'm so busy that I don't really have time for anything else. Some vivid dreams but somehow able to not get caught up in them.

    Mood: Little tense (because I have a lot to do)

    Urges: 3/10
