Not sure if I'm in the right place...

    Hey guys. 32 years old here. Was a long time porn user starting from the age of 15, but shortly after college I began to go onto craigslist and receive anonymous oral sex from men. The build up of talking to people and then the action itself became addicting and 10 years later I'm still doing the same shit except now on Grindr. I don't meet up as often as I used to but it still wastes a lot of my time and ultimately the energy I could be using for so many things.

    I am mainly attracted to women and haven't yet found myself attracted to men, but the whole interaction has become more exciting I guess to my brain than porn so that is why I'm wondering if I'm in the right place. I know I have an issue, and I assume it's a similar situation, but I could definitely use someone to talk to.

    Welcome, it does sounds to me like this community is a fit for you, there's a section about porn another about "problematic sexual behaviour" and I find that as some one who was huge into both during active addiction I see a lot of people the same here, into both. Doesn't much matter the timing, for me certain things waxed and waned over the years but addiction sums up the whole enchilada. Addiction is definitely partly by its progressive nature, for me it progressed from thinking to viewing to acting, and it can all get more extreme and now frequent. Not every week or even every month but every year. It's all about objectivity, ive known a lot of people who unlike me had several years that really seemed like good years to them so they thought they were done and everything was fine, then boom back in the shutter.
