    Hey everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for Nofap for existing! I recently did a 30 day hard mode and it was tough...like I was really surprised how hard it was to avoid it day by day and how strong the physical urges were...BUT it really does work.

The main reason I am now addressing my problem is my girlfriend. We have been together now for almost 4 years and we have never had a normal sex life. I got PIED bad and I could get over it some of the time but in the last year it got so bad that we basically just did't have sex for months at a time...I felt like shit every time it happened and worst of all my girlfriend lost her confidence. She used to be really proud of her sexiness and I made her feel crap about herself. But its not all bad...I recently did the 30 day hard mode and the results were great. I was really confident with her and we finally had a really good sexual experience. I want this to keep going!

I have used porn since I was a kid and have properly been an addict for at least the last ten years. I am about to turn 30 and am so tired of what it's done to me. I want to shake this bastard thing off and get on with my life!

    See you around,

    Warthog.

Welcome to NoFap. I've found this a great place to get the support I need to stay free of pornography use, I hope you do too. If you are interested in the science stuff behind the addiction then there's a good introduction here and some more detailed information over at https://yourbrainonporn.com/

The process of 'rebooting' is covered on this page: https://www.nofap.com/rebooting/

Lots of us find it useful to keep a journal and there are age and gender related sections in the forums here where you can start a journal thread. I've got load of support and advice from reading other people's journals.

There are loads of great threads and posts to get started on, here's one: Top Tips for leaving PMO behind. As you read other addict's posts, and those from the partners of addicts, you'll find people whose advice resonates with your journey.

Good luck - and welcome to your new pornography free life!
