It's officially been one month, and I'm feeling good.
Two years ago, I got a shock that convinced me to finally start sorting myself out. I took responsibility for the fetishistic addictions I'd had since I was a teenager. I began to view supposed friends in a new light... and I cut a few of them off. I'm now 28, and reflecting on my progress.
    2018 was 'My Year'
2019 was my 'Year of Recovery'
2020 is going to be a year where I learn to move on and translate my experiences creatively.
That is not to say I fully disapprove of fetishism. In fact, I think exploring yourself in that way can be healthy. However, it is easy to become addicted, especially when it comes to online role playing. I've cut down on this significantly, and partners whom I still talk to now enjoy fantasy and sci-fi adventures from me, rather than anything heavily fetish-based.
Part of my success this month has come from switching to a new anti-depressant, but I have also benefited from other factors. I now spend Monday evenings at a bisexual Mindfulness meet, and I have just finished an 11 week hypnotherapy program.
Honestly, I'm feeling better than I have done in years. I can't wait to see how things unfold in 2020.
And jeez, one month! I should think of a way to celebrate ^^ Over the last couple of years, my fetishistic addictions have greatly decreased in intensity. This is especially true for the last 30 days. I truly believe that the fabled 'rewiring' is taking place, and I can't wait to see the results.

  2. Congratulation on your success! Never forget to celebrate your 'little' victories. Also, remember that stopping PMO is just the first step towards a bigger change. We should see it not as a destination but as something that allows us to create a better life.
