ONE OF THE GREATEST METHODS TO OVERCOME PORN AND FAP ADDICTION: FASTING

I've been a porn addict for years and it got so bad that I was watching porn and jerking off 5 times a day. It got so bad that I lost my erection and couldn't even remember the last time I had one.

The scariest part was when I got testicle pain. I didn't wanna lose my balls or become infertile or something. So I decided to do something about it. After years of struggling ( yes I struggled years and kept relapsing) I finally overcame porn addiction thanks to one technique no one talks about and that is fasting.

I wont go in to much detail on why it works since you can just google that but fasting diminishes sexual desire. You'll struggle in the beginning but fasting is what helped me get my life back.

After dinner, do not eat or drink anything till 5pm. I just eat and drink as much I can at dinner. I know this sounds extreme but considering how dangerous porn addiction is, I think its worth it. Now just fasting wont be enough. You will need to start exercising daily. I recommend you lift heavy weights. I just put p90x on and work hard. The last thing you need is a lot of desire.

No technique can help you unless you have high desire to overcome fapping. After 3-4 months of fasting you can stop fasting and just stick with exercise but I still recommend you fast twice a week even after you've done your 3 months.

Mondays and Thursday is what I do. Hope this helps because it sure did help me.
 
Fasting has been integral in my own reboot. I've also found that my relapses correlate with times when I was not fasting... such as around holidays.
 
Fasting is good. It makes you stronger. Intermittent fasting that is.
 
This sounds interesting to me. From your experience, does fasting help for the entire week? For example, in my case, my worst urges are on Sat/Sun. Should I fast on Sat or Sunday, or can I do it on Friday?

I am already working out x3 a week (every day is not reasonable due to the distance to the gym, but I can jog or ride a bike on the other days). I feel like I could fast once a week.
 
learning how to fast is a key tool in this nofap journey i can't stress this enough , their different types of fasting choose what's best for you
 
I used to do the 5/2 diet where you fast for two days a week. Fasting exercises your will power and that's probably essential to success. I'd like to add fasting to my strategy to stay PMO free. I've been slacking on the exercise.
 
I'm not so sure about this to be honest.
See, I'm not sure if this is healthy. One could lose muscle mass quickly and feel terrible.
What I do is I don't snack during the day. I only eat at meal times. This way, I'm always hungry for meals especially dinner.
 
@MyNewSelf , not to go into it too much, but I have seen quite a few articles that say fasting can be good for you if done in moderation. It can help your digestive system etc... It can also be good if you are trying to lose weight in addition to NoFap (which I am not).
 
I realize this is a very old post, but I just did a 23 hour fast and I had hardly ANY desire to look at stuff. Something to this perhaps.

Have you tried 20/4 fasting? Is it better to fast one long period or everyday for awhile

I Completely Agree with you Man, as our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) also prescribed fasting for those men who was not married because Fasting
Diminishes Sexual desires.
