Overcoming shame

Ryuk, there is certainly something to be said for picking the correct kind of friends/acquaintances, which you seem to do; but I think that TheChosenOne needs friends more than you. After all, he writes, "...I can't afford to not speak to anyone or see anyone." As for you, TheChosenOne, you're right. We all need positive interaction with others. if your current friends don't fulfil that need satisfactorily, perhaps you need to make some new ones. I don't know anything about your religion, but it's been my experience that the very best friends are those found in church. Alternatively, there must be organizations on your campus that share some of your interests, which would be great places to look for new friends.
