NSFW (do not read if sensitive to information about males jerking off).

This morning I believe I had my first wet dream. If anyone else here has had a wet dream, I’d like to get your take to see what this was.

I had a dream I was jerking off. It was an incredibly realistic feeling dream as well. I woke up to find a weird feeling down there (as if I was actually jerking off and feeling pleasure from it). I also had an erection. Was this a what is considered a wet dream or something else?

I didn’t realize this but apparently he was married to Marnia Robinson, who wrote Cupid’s Poisoned Arrow. A very enlightened couple it seems! Together they have both done a lot of good for a lot of people.

  3. I had an explicit sex dream right before I woke up and have been horny all morning. In particular my penile sensitivity is through the roof, I'm worried about emissions.

In addition it feels like there is a burning and tingling sensation directly underneath my navel.

I have a handle on my addiction so I don't need to worry about relapsing to masturbation. But at the same time I'm not used to these intense urges after a long flatline. I'm trying to use the techniques I've learned like urge surfing and controlled breathing but the itch is being stubborn and not going away.

Good to know. You could imagine the little episode I had after waking up and feeling what was happening, wasn’t fun.

The best thing to do is to take deep breaths, focus on your breathing and think about things that motivate you to not do that. Keep yourself occupied as well

That is exactly my case, too! Took me many years to realize that this is where all my misery originates.

    Hey guys,

Little check in here today, 123 days or so free of MO and 195 or so free of Porn (had 1 relapse to MO no porn on day 72 thinking that I would alleviate my insomnia..oh how wrong I was)

Well, the last 2 days were actually pretty "good" in terms of I can function and do what I set out for the day. No where near recovered or doing what i'd like to be doing, but hey Rome wasn't built in a day. Still, I felt calm and no tension throughout the day. All of a sudden, tension and worry came forth near the end of today. What triggered it was hearing about the death of someone(nobody I actually know personally), I don't really get why it affected me to this degree. I guess the concept of death is one that makes me uncomfortable..mix that with paws withdrawal and the reaction my body gets is an unwarranted stress response that's abnormal. Abnormal in the sense that I would not, under regular circumstances, react this way.

I really wonder how much longer I'll have to deal with these illogical body responses. The bouts of lower stress tolerance and such..

Man, I recognize the feeling. I'm at day 80 or something without P. And only day 10 no MO. I get the same kind of tenseness, but also sensitivity to exercise. After hard exercise while being in a stressful life situation + the effects of PMO or PAWS, I occasionally get the same kind of tension (often in a social setting). I noticed that I also get tense/anxiety/stress response the first days after MO, not only after P (which was a bit of a surprise to me). I developed some tension/stress/anxiety after a close family member passed away + the effects of PMO. But thankfully it's better now. I don't know or I would handle it that well as I did if was deep into addiction. I have reduced alcohol drastically +cutting down on reading the news, and that seems to work well for me in reducing generic tension and/or stress response. Also, I believe reading in some spiritual book may also help alleviate it. I need to learn a lot there myself. What really helped me was reducing screen time, which was your advice actually :D May I ask how long you have been addicted to PMO? It may inform the duration of your recovery.

I hope the tension will let go soon! Keep going.

I completely relate to what you mean by the sensitivity to exercise, before things got really bad during my addiction I could exercise no problem. I had to eliminate exercise from my life near the end of my use of PMO, had to wait quite a bit when I first started my streak to add it in extremely slowly, still way off from what I use to do in the gym by FAR, but its okay I rather be capable of doing a bit than nothing.

I think we get this tension/anxiety because PMO was our relief from any discomfort. Nice choice on reducing your news intake. I have done the same, it definitely helps. I'm really glad to screen time reduction helped you friend! I will say this, the tension and anxiety I get now has reduced in frequency greatly since the start of my journey and in intensity as well. At the beginning it felt like I was going to die lol.

To answer your question,I'd say 15-16 years (I'm 29 now, been completely clean from porn since I turned 29, stared when I was 13). But I was never a daily fapper until the last months of my addiction. In high school I would PMO twice a week(Friday/Sat at most), I PMOed multiple times in a day maybe 8 times in my life (anywhere between 2-4 in a day and that was in my teens). In college/university I would use it a bit more, but I would also have stretches where I did not use it at all. When I was 21 I discovered nofap, from then on I would have streaks going anywhere between 3 days to 60. I kept the addiction alive though. The last 5 months of my usage was horrible, I was a daily user and edged a lot, on top of youtube addiction(which I quit at the same time). In those 5 months my health rapidly declined.

Thank you brother! Hope to shake this feeling soon too. I'm definitely not going back to PMO though haha.

Interesting concepts, i'll have to study more about it. Avoidance is definitely part of my addiction as well, I believe strongly that during PAWS withdrawal its important for us to figure out what we avoided and face it gradually as we can. Utilizing meditation is key for us. I also relate to the sensitivity of being hungry, I think our blood sugar levels have a relation with dopamine receptors being jacked up, which is what causes that stress response. (I read that somewhere I'll have to find it again), for me eating variety is key.

I agree, sexual energy does need to be harnessed with activity. I'm still working on that department due to the anxiety I feel on certain days.

Only thing we can do is keep moving forward brother, thank you for your reply!

Have any of you guys tried microdosing psylicobin? A whole community who have treated depression and anxiety and PAWS symptoms from drug addictions with it. Taking a small dose 2x times a week only. I think this is where my next step lays at 4 years of rebooting and no improvement whats so ever. I will never touch anti depressants so i guess mother nature needs to help me. Some interesting research on psylicobin and how it can reset the brain and create new pathways. Interesting stuff. Perhaps it will help our paws by giving us extra tools.

Haven’t tried psilocybin but I posted earlier this week to see if anyone has tried CBD (figure I’ll start with the stuff that’s legal lol). If you do go for it please report back and let us know what happens. I’m totally with you on never wanting to touch antidepressants. My PAWS journey has had so much in common with what you read about on the benzo withdrawal forums that I know it would never help to go down that road.

Have your four years been all hardmode by the way?

  12. I've always been interested in mushrooms. Let me know how it goes if you do end up trying them.

I bought a bag and took a small dose a half a year ago, but my PAWs blocked any sort of effects. I saw some weird colors but that was about it. I know that my brain was the issue because the person I took them with took the same amount and had a trip.

I'm going to take them once I leave the flatline though.

I’d say that’s a bad idea. The last thing you’d want to do during recovery is mess with something that messes with chemicals in the brain.

The only reason your brain has not recovered during the 4 years I believe it’s because you still MO’ed, the ones who have recovered have outright done absolutely no PMO. I’d be very cautious.

    Hey guys,

Regarding your own journeys, how often do you have nocturnal emissions/wet dreams?

  16. Can you believe I'm in my early 40s and have never had a wet dream? At least not one that I can ever recall.

I've noticed that my piss is cloudy periodically. That is probably how the excess is being expelled.

Oh wow, lucky! I have had 5, so about 1 a month, frequency has been decreasing which i'm happy about.

If you mean slight clear bubbles, then it has happened for me as well. My diet is on point too. I've made sure to include things that boost testosterone/semen volume. I find when I add a new supplement, my body needs time to adjust and it may cause an emission.

Wow , thank you very much for your detailed reply! Also, congratulations on making it through your reboot, I wish you continued success man :)!

I agree, it definitely can come in clutch during a period of high stress. What I've noticed is when I have a rather difficult day filled with either anger/pressure or anxiety/stress, that's when they happen. As you mentioned, it makes sense the body sense this and does it as a default release.

It's funny that you mentioned pelvic exercises, I tried to do kegals for a bit, they actually made me have more nocturnal emissions lol! When I was doing them (short period of time) I had two nights straight. I have stopped them since.

I really look forward to feeling like myself again, like you are at now! The variable energy, the variable sleep quality...the anxiety..the low stress tolerance. This journey is quite a drag..but I'm hopeful when I get through this life will be much grander!

197 days free of Porn (1 MO relapse on day 72 to fend off insomnia, it didn't work haha!) and 125 days free of MO.

Thank you again and thank you for staying in the forums and helping others who are struggling with addiction man!

Thank you again man, appreciate all your insight!

I'm hopeful that at the 9 to 12 month marker, I'll experience even more positive changes. At a faster pace.

I have had hard mode streaks of 7 months minimum. Currently at nearly 10 months. The only thing i feels is pure social anxiety, anhedonia, depression and fatigue. Good blood work done everything is fine, i have tried trauma exercises but cant find any trauma that has been the cause of this. Im dead inside. I will stay on semen retention but for me i seem to be permentantly damaged. I was a very heavy addicted from a young age :-(
Microdosing psylocobin actually dont mess with neuro chemichals, you should read about it. It actually help form and grow new neuron in the brain and new receptors, its very interesting. I dont see what options i have left
