Whenever I do manage to go any significant number of days without fapping, I'll start to get painful sensations at varying levels of intensity around the base of my penis and in my testicles. Usually it's like a very strong ache in those areas, like I took a mild kick there or something. Might last for maybe 30 minutes to an hour or so. As of this post i'm on day 5 with no PMO or MO whatsoever, plus it's been about 2 weeks since my wife and I last had sex.

It's probably just what they refer to as "blue balls", but I always thought that happened if you got an erection but didn't orgasm or for some reason your sexual encounter was interrupted in some way. I've just been going about my daily life and haven't really been aroused by anything. Though I have been trying hard to keep PMO off my mind.

I'm wondering if anyone else has the same sensation. If so, how often does it happen, how long does it last and how painful is it?

yes dude sounds like blue balls. i have this all the time pretty randomly but for sure after i was edging.
i handle that two different ways: 1. i avoid edging 2. i just think like "well since i only have this pain when i didn't pmo long enough this shows that i'm making progress." i treat it kinda like the pain you have after working out hard. it hurts but it can also make you proud that you're growing and making progress!

I had this once, and then I relapsed because I panicked. No pain, no gain I guess. Like Hatikva said, the pain only means you're making progress.

For me the sensation wasn't so much "blue balls" as "dead dick." And it wasn't just a lack of sensation... it felt like there was an actual ache / pain, or a cavity of sensation, if that makes sense.

Anyway, yes I think this is totally normal. I had it for days ~5 through ~14 or so, off and on. Very uncomfortable.

I'll tell you what though, it sure feels awesome once you get through that. It's like losing a limb, and then getting it back much stronger than before!
