Hi, I wanted to share my story with others to see if anyone else is going through a similar experience.
I am new to the NoFap community but my journey with PMO addiction is one that started long ago in my early teens. I only recently decided to join the community after multiple failed attempts at quitting on my own over the past few years. What really motivated me this time were the health problems I started to face: pain in the groin and anal area, frequent urge to urinate, constant pressure in the pelvic region, weak erections, (don't even get me started on the mental health problems). I tested negative on all STD/STI, bacterial infections, tumors, etc. so I am positive that all these problems come from my PMO addiction. I'm wondering whether anyone else experienced similar symptoms and whether they recovered (is recovering) and any tips on recovery and/or coping with the pain/discomfort. Good luck to everyone on their recovery :D

I didn’t always edge but sometimes I did. I had a bad habit of watching porn and masturbating multiple times throughout the day. Your thread was really helpful! Ty.

You can also look into DCT for hard flaccid or pelvic issues. You can read up on it and see if the symptoms match. I'm going though the program now.

    You sound like me.

The thread attached above is great! Thank you kopykat!

The pain in the anal area is likely the prostate.

The prostate is the muscle that enables either urine/semen to eject... I believe doing this too often may cause inflammation of the prostate or pain, like a throbbing.

I've noticed when i'm urinating, the stream stops, but i can still feel there's more. And usually i'll put it away and it'll dribble; incontinence. I can however force urine out which is probably bad also (for the prostate), but at least i don't get urine down my leg. ‍♂️

I'm at a state of mind that excessive ejaculation may cause prostate cancer - except you say you have no tumors ... that is good. Gives me hope that may be it isn't cancer but just damaged muscle...The medical pages don't state a connection between the two ... yet that is science - false until proven true ...

Did you get your hormone panel done? I'm interested to know your FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) ... mine is 21 IU/L (very high - not good). 19 in 2020, 21 in 2021 ... it's gone up 2 points since i've been researching qutting pmo. Haven't re tested for 2022 ...

  6. I've had the exact same thing happening for a while. It's noticeably worse during periods of frequent PMO or binging. This, unsurprisingly, includes edging.

No I only tested for infections or possible tumors. Not sure what FSH is and what it means if it’s high. Would I ask a urologist for that?

I can tell you at 22
    I am diagnosed with prostititus

and was told it is an enflamed prostate coupled with bacteria making its way back through the urethra and I guess stress causes it for me to become worse
One things for sure. I’m trying to stop watch it now and I noticed too it’s been enflamed more

  9. This is what your doctor told you? How does that happen?
