A big part of the reason why I'm trying to cut out PMO is because I think I've caused some kind of damage to my penile suspensory ligament by over-masturbation (Almost every day, for 1-3 hours. Porn made it easy to keep going, and now I wish I never watched it). It aches most of the time, and once when I was masturbating last month, I felt two sharp pains. I've been scared to touch it ever since.

My doctor said he doesn't know anything about what I described so he was just doing to mark it down as anxiety. He told me just go through life as normal, that's it's fine to masturbate, and that maybe I should try having sex (It's been about 5 years).
I don't think that's a good idea, because like I said, it always hurts.

Online it says it can take about 6-12 weeks for that ligament to heal. I was wondering, has anyone here ever had a strained/torn ligament, what did you do to get it fixed? Thanks.
I just want everything to go back to normal.

I don't mean to scare you, but I have been dealing with a PSL injury for a year now. Recently it improved a lot, but any kind of sexual activity still affects the healing (that is how I got here).

I think in my case I was unlucky that at the time after the initial injury I didn't know about the PSL and did more damage by getting active too soon. As you said, usually it takes a few months to heal. It's just extremely important that you give it a rest, especially when you have pain (don't mind the doctor, these injuries are rare and most of them know little about them). Applying cool packs may help in the beginning, too.

And most importantly: Don't panic, even when you notice changes on your penis!! It doesn't have to be permanent, but you need to be patient and rest. Focus on something else and you will be fine.

    Best wishes

Do you expect your PSL to improve?

As I said, it is already improving a lot. I don't know if it will be 100% as before, but as long as it looks decent and becomes stable again I am fine. It could have been much worse...

As far as I know, for a strained ligament recovery is very likely, but the duration may vary. In my case it is taking very long, even though I treated it very carefully...

If the ligament is torn it will not heal and you can only fix it by surgery, but I don't think that's the case for OP.
