I’m trying to figure if my PA has PIED secondary to ROCD or the other way around.

Last night at dinner it hit me out if no where! He has always had a few ticks for instance when we leave a restaurant he checks once before we leave the table to ensure he has returned his card to his wallet and as soon as we pull out on the highway he will immediately pull his wallet out and check again. He never misses. We laugh about now because I had written in a love story book I gave him for Christmas and he had no idea I had noticed.

I began to think about a few other things. He must have the lights off during sexual activity, Hates kissing, and will not eat at a potluck and rarely will go to a buffet but I mean maybe twice in two years. Definite germaphobe. He often has the impulse to go directly to the restroom any where we go.

    What do you thin?

Lights off and no kissing are classic PA examples-seeing your partner and kissing her interferes with replaying porn in their heads to get their dopamine fix :( I think most people have some obsessive quirks at some point in their lives. From what I have read from your previous entries, your partner sounds like he has a long standing addiction.

Thanks for the reply. Isn’t it crazy how are minds try to find excuses around it? Either way I’m hoping at some point he will be able to open up.

It is REALLY difficult for addicts to do this alone. Is he seeing a CSAT? In a recovery program?

No, he hasn’t admitted to anything. It’s been all me assessing our “ dead bedroom” although recently he has committed to trying to figure out what’s causing the ED.

Is there a reason why you haven't spoken to him about your concerns? Has he finally admitted to P use? Why are you putting it all on you to figure out?

He admitted to using P. I confronted him about porn addiction and he denied it and promised she wouldn’t look at porn anymore. Actually last night we had successful sex for the first time!
