Please HELP ME overcome the temptations

    Hello everybody I've gone 4 days into it and since this morning the temptations are just killing me. I've used the nofap tool and got motivated and the temptations where gone but after a few minutes they came back again. Any help and tips on how to get rid of these temptations will be very apreciated. Thank you in advance guys

    Thank you mate I didn't PMO. I contemplated about how bad I will feel after doing it and finaly the craving dissappeared. I'm 100% willing to reach 90 days and even quit porn forever. If it wasn't for this comunity i would have relapsed right now. Thx for the tips; I'll use them next time the cravibgs will come. Have a nice day mate

    Each time you want to PMO, write down some simple informations : where you are, what time it is, what you are doing, with who you are, what is your mood. Soon, you will find a pattern, something comon, a trigger.
    It can be when you are alone and idle (that's me). Or when you feel lonely.
    THen you will have to :
    - avoid those triggers
    - find somes routines to fight the triggers and give you some rewards each time you feel an urge

    My routines are :
    - 10 pushups and cold water
    - going elsewhere to talk to someone
    - pick a post-it from my todo sheet, and fix the problem written on it (those post-it are small tasks, that need fixing, like ironing my shirts, writing a letter to someone...)

    I just think how poorly id feel after the fact. Sure itll be good when doing it and immediatly after but 5 min later you realized you just lost all progress for a quick high that youll prob now need again an hour later.

    I know at first I just wanted to get through the day. Then I reached a week and wanted to get through another week, then another and then I was suddenly at 30 days. I found it best to set short goals. 90 days would have been too daunting for me. We are each individuals and you know what is best for you.

    Machin thank you for the advice mate, I'll sureley incorporate those activities in my routine even if I workout 2-3 hours a day almost every day but the cravings also hit me when I'm alone or when i feel sad about somthing. Thank God I made it past today. Now i realy feel much stronger and confident and i feel that I'll be able to get to the end of this journey.

    Crispy21 the good feeling from the hight of the dopamine goes away right after the PMO is over so it isn't worth it for those 2 or 3 minutes of pleasure. The problem is that the brain shuts down our frontal cortex wich is responsabile for viewing consequences so i think that makes our fight very hard. Thank you mate

    Saturdaze, your way of dealing with it seems very good mate, I'll try to set myself smaller goals then set the bar higher and higher. It's an amazing achivment getting to 30 days. Congrats, my best was 10 days so far. I wish you good luck friend
