Okay so it's been 27 days I haven't done PMO but, many years ago where I quit alcohol, drugs, cigarettes & gambling. My gambling addiction has come back & replaced my Pmo addiction. I really don't know what to do. This is really f*d up :(

I would definitely consider seeking professional help if its serious. Either way, I believe you should find a healthy habit that you can do daily to ensure that something positive can "replace" your addiction.

I just cannot understand why people gamble, I don't see the appeal of it. It's just money down the drain.

You're obviously going to waste more money gambling than you're ever going to gain from it. How else would the gambling companies, casinos etc make so much money?

And why the hell would you think you would be blessed with some kind of special luck? All religions I know of are against gambling.

You need to stop this fucking nonsense.

But also, forgive yourself and move on. We've all made mistakes.

I think that betting was always there. We start bet on thing since we are kids and it is in our DNA. We always want to prove to someone that we are better at something and that is when the betting starts. I loved betting with everyone when I was a kid and I had to be best at everything. Now I like to play poker a lot and I have sessions with my friends every Friday. I learned to play on casino-korea.com and I still go play there from time to time. I am much better at it then my friends and it is because I went to play online first.

  8. When you stop one addiction you need to replace it with something healthy, a healthy addiction. Your brain will start to look for other ways to get a dopamine hit. So your brain just brought back an old addiction to get a hit of dopamine. Something similar nearly happened to be too, i replace porn with drinking for a short time.
Have you thought about looking for a healthy addiction like a sports or hobby to replace your gambling and porn?

It is not nonsense. This is a subconscious driving for high emotions. Person doesn't gamble for a purpose of earning, but for a purpose of getting high emotions. Get the point that I mean and be enlightened. I have wasted a lot of time, money and effort trying to beat the game of gambling, but there weren't even normal sites that could provide cashbacks and withdraws, well except https://www.m-trends.org, that I think is the only one that allowed me to withdraw the money that I won. Well, yet I lost more than I won so dont go for it.

It is immediately noticeable that you have serious problems. You should discuss this with a specialist so that he can advise you on how to proceed in this situation. Your attitude to this addiction scares me the most. Some people live with it all their lives but do not realize that they have problems. It's not a problem for me to make several bets on dang ky w88. Most of the time I lose, but I always try again. The main thing is not to think negatively about it and understand that someday you will be lucky and win a large amount of money. You need to be more optimistic and solve your problems.

Why dont you start investing in the stock market? They've gamified it to the point where it feels like a gambling app, but instead of throwing your money down the drain gambling you could research companies and instead take calculated risk. Obviously, something like GME is gambling, but there's other stocks that will potentially (probably-- very, very likely) yield high results in the future like semiconductors.

Stop hating yourself and stop excluding "bad" things out of your life. Obviously this doesn't work. Start looking for things to include in your life.
In other words, you need to make a focus on feeling better, and look for things that make you emotionally better sustainably - not like drugs or gambling which only feels good as long as you are under influence. Something that brings constant change.
People take drugs porn and such because they want to feel better. You are supposed to want to feel good, it is your right and I would even say inheritance. You DO deserve it. Thinking that you "must stop taking drugs" and be miserable is not a solution. The solution is fixing the pain that makes your simple everyday life so unbearable. There's no way around it - you must focus truly on your emotions, treat feeling of satisfaction with yourself as something essential and focus seriously on learning to be kind and generous to yourself. But not temporarily, like during fapping. Instead, actually change your attitude. If you are at all spiritual, ask whoever you believe in for help, give up and say that you can't manage on your own, and you will be quiet and listen. Say "I know that misery is not my inheritance, otherwise I would not feel so crappy being miserable. Please, show me the way", and don't dictate to God when the answer should come. Just trust in it. If you're an atheist, say the same to your subconscious or your brain. It is doing unbelievable amount of calculations in perfect harmony, most of which you're unaware of. Ask and trust.
You have exhausted your attempts of utilizing "willpower". Good. Now you can actually stop torturing yourself and slowly, gradually fall back and allow yourself to get better.

You cannot STRESS yourself into being at PEACE. It will never, ever, ever, ever, ever work, and expecting this from yourself had been pure insanity.

I wrote this in a needlessly judgemental way and I'm sorry about that.

Gambling is very dangerous, stay away from it and try to get help if you struggle with it.

Its real shit though, bro. Gambling is legit one of the dumbest addictions, and people don't understand that nowadays with electronic gambling it actually has physiologically addicting properties now as well.

Well, at whatever stage it is. Addiction should be controlled, and it should be done so that it is not an addiction but only for fun and moderation. Don't forget about hiking with a specialist. If u can't control it yourself, then someone has to help you. I also had an addiction when I first started playing poker. After consulting with a specialist, he told me to change the game of poker to something else. After listening to it, I began to take a little interest in sports betting and various services by type sportsbetter.io online. I really like online gamb**ng and have just changed it, and I don't depend as much as I do on poker.

Drinking and online poker is even dumber and worse than porn.

why don’t you replace your lack of dopamine with running?

Not sure your post to shame him will help make him stop. I don’t know why people use PMO but we do it.

Who cares about shame? People end up in these positions because nobody is telling them the truth of the matter to start with.

Online gambling eats your money like nothing else and is designed with even more pernicious and addicting mechanisms than porn. You should read some books on digital gambling, it’s horrible.

Someone has even posted a link in here with their favorite online gambling site. I dont mean to be harsh, but if you are replacing porn with gambling, you aren’t thinking clearly. They both cause physiological changes to the brain but gambling has a way more intense effect on the user, women’s periods even change and people wet their pants because they become so out of tune with their body. It eats hours and potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Sorry but seeing the course of this thread pisses me off because it’s as if someone walked into an AA meeting and started talking about how great cocaine is and how it’s replaced their alcohol addiction.

Read “Addiction by Design” by Natasha Dow Shull. Electronic and digital gambling actually is shameful, because it ruins lives.
