Digital porn is a pretty recent phenomenon, which came not more than 20 years ago.

So, is it possible that our generation is the first one to suffer from its side-effects? I mean, since people from older generations never had any access to such high dosage of pornographic content, they must have been free of any such addiction.

People talk about superhuman capabilities after just 90 days of abstinence. But, if that's the case, were all the non-porn generation people superhumans?

I know I am exaggerating a little, but you get my point. I am really having troubles understanding it.

I think most people begin to feel "normal" after going through a period of abstaining from PMO. If you have spent years of your life in a sort of grey, lethargic haze as a result of incessant masturbation to pornography, finally freeing yourself from this behavior can truly feel magical and this is where the terms like superpower probably originated.

So I suppose people in the past didn't have "superpowers", but they also did not have to cope with the depression, anxiety, and just overall adrenal fatigue that most of us probably have experienced or are currently experiencing. Our grandfathers were never presented with extremely enticing technology that allowed them the ability to binge watch porn for hours on end. Sleepless nights due to this addiction never afflicted them. Most of them probably never had any problems with their erections until well into middle/old age. So, I think what most of us are after is simply achieving a balanced, more relaxed state. We want to maximize our potential. We just want to feel human.

Agreed. These capabilities are not super human, but simply human. We have yet to experience what a normal human used to experience on a daily basis.

Exactly. I think the NoFap is extremely important and beneficial, but sometimes the language or expectations seem like they can become a bit skewed.

    There’s nothing like Superhuman.
    It’s Normal Human.
Because you are fapping, you are not performing upto your peak performance:
    1. Time is wasted.
    2. A lot of Energy is drained in PMOing.
    3. Interest in other aspects of life has been reportedly reduced.
    4. People spend money on P.
    5. Self-Confidence and Self-Dignity have been reported to be lost.

You stop P, and all those 4 things are not keeping you back.
So, you see a Relative Boost in your Productivity and in the General Quality of Life.

This Relative Change is perceived by many as a super-jump.
At this point, it’s just playing around with what the word “Super Human” means.
