PMO is not a habit. PMO is an addiction!!!

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Sep 28, 2017.

  1. You can see my counter and this is how many days I have really known about NoFap and started learning about all those things (dopamine and stuff) so I think most of you are approaching PMO in a different view you are seeing it like it is just another of your habits which is really wrong.

Most of the young people here does not have the “habit” of PMOing you are addicted! That is why you are on your third or fourth attempt of rebooting, you must understand how deep that stuff goes, I see guys here saying that they want to “stop for a while” and that does not make sense to me because if you are addicted to crack stopping for a while then going back on will not help in anything it will only be a complete waste of you goddamn time!

Before you figure out that you are actually sick and that this “edging” crap is only screwing up you will try again and again but will fail, if you are like me and have been using porn since preadolescence it will take months to get better, stop allowing yourself to fail, stop treating PMO like it is “biting your nails 2.0”.

PS: Sorry for the rant I am actually talking to myself here. Giving yourself a hard time may help if done correctly. Stay strong!

Opiates... It is those opiates that make us so dull. Orgasm is the heroine, we always say to ourselves that it's okay if I masturbate a little, or that if I touch little... In reality, less there is sexual pleasure, more your brain gets healed. And more satisfying everything else becomes.

I'm actually controlling my erection muscles, which prevent me from using them, thus 6 days fully without any kind of orgasms. I feel like I'm the happiest man on earth:) Everything is just so interesting.

I think there are many ways in which you can overcome this addiction, or more so, master yourself:
    1. Prevent yourself from imagining:rolleyes:
    - Just plain impossible. Incredibly hard, and you'll need always something to do to this work.
    2. Don't touch your dick
    - Works, until you get to the bed, and you get hard. needless to say this is goddamn hard.
    3. Control those pc-muscles, command them to keep erection in bay
    - Helps a lot, but it requires testing, training, and control of those muscles. Mind is still an issue, I've gotten really depressed, but because of no erections, there never was too hard obstacles to overcome. I think also that even a little bit of alcohol will ruin all control you might have to those muscles, not recommended.

In the end, more you fight, more you learn of your enemy. Best thing about this is that this is parasite, it cannot win over you, but you can win over it by endurance.

  4. The good thing is that this is some kind of known enemy, even thought your brain and body have their tricks to misguide you and get you when you are vulnerable you can start to take note and learn how they do it and reverse it. It is such a strange feeling battling addiction to porn (the flashbacks) and the erections, my strategy has been distraction but a full on brawl is about take place in my mind and I intent to win. Stay strong brother.
