Yeah so i notice after 3 days no pmo, i start getting really stressed out towards night time, (where i usually pmo as a stress reliever) I usually get what i call withdraw headaches,(I rarely get headaches in general so its not a medical problem) and it makes having a craving really unbearable because of the high stress and sometimes headache pain.Im just so used to getting those natural chemicals, or the high, so its really tough. often give in just to be able to have relief. Anybody else get this? Any advice on how to combat it would be appreciated. symptoms

Withdrawals and urges are a GOOD thing! It means you're addicted but also that you're winning. Rewiring and rebooting is not easy. It's suppose to be a struggle.

When you feel that struggle, embrace it. Embrace the pain and tell yourself you won't give in. Once you recognize that you're indeed battling with yourself, like my friend above said, keep yourself busy. Do something else. Anything productive, creative, whatever. You can't just sit there and try to resist. It won't work. You need to actively replace it with something else, especially at the beginning.

Check out this video from the NoFap Academy for a better explanation.

Hey BrandenA! I know what you mean, the stressing out and the headaches are pretty normal. When I've had a good streak going, I've also been extremely anxious, depressed, and I have something called "brain fog" which is like a headache. (It's sort of like being hungover, with a headache and difficulty concentrating and zoning in, the difference is you're still coordinated haha.)

So what to do about these things. For the stress, maybe try to find something to help relieve it that's NOT fapping. Like if there's a TV show or something you really like (as long you won't run into sexual content) or a game or something, you know.
The headaches, or the brain fog, what's helped me is meditation, coffee (which also helps when you're hungover, haha), eating green food, and doing something that engages your mind (sudoku, classical music, etc)

good luck with your NoFap. Freedom is it's own reward.

I have to say, giggleshmack, that I totally love your signature. I also watch House of Cards, and I remember that monologue Stamper has at the AA meeting, but for whatever reason I didn't see myself in relation to it until now. Your numbers are inspiring too.

Thanks Reedman! I started watching shortly after I started NoFap and that monologue has been inspiring me ever since. I keep a copy of it hanging next to my bed as one of my tools/reminders.
