I recently experienced my first reset after a four-day streak and experienced my second reset after another four-day streak. Now that I am on my third attempt, I want to gather some information and opinions from other users concerning their first experiences with rebooting through NoFap.

If you had a rocky start to your NoFap journey, it would be very much appreciated if you left some advice and personal testimony in the comments :)

I’ve only managed to do up to 4 days if I’m lucky. I hope to do more one day but energy and drive is high af when you’re a teen. Valuing something other than browsing social media, and playing online games is the one thing that won’t lead to you breaking a streak. You can break your streak for one day and regret it for hours on end or never break it and feel the strength embrace you.

I would recommend reading through everything on the link I posted and looking through the research section if you’re interested. Adding P blockers have helped me immensely as well. Also instead of focusing on the urges tell yourself that this is normal and let it pass over you. That’s what a lot of people use to get over urges.

The best thing you can do though is learn through trial and error. Find your specific triggers and find ways to deal with them. P blockers help in general and if you have apple you can pretty much block all websites except for the ones you need by using the screen time tools. If you’re surging (stronger urges than normal) go out for a walk. I’ve also found that listening to music helps me keep my mind off of PMO so maybe that might help you.
