Writing about this is kinda akward but I wanted to know if porn can possibly screw your own gender identity or if this is my own issue.
Before nofap I was even at a point were I imagined being the girl during sex.
Now, I know this is pretty screwed up and I really hope this is due to PMO abuse or I am kinda screwed.
    Has anyone had similar experiences?

You ever notice how most MTF transgendered people change their names to something that sounds like a porn star's stage name?

Yes, porn can affect what you are attracted to as well as how you see yourself if you consume it enough with little education as to what you are watching at a young enough age. Rule 34 im sure has screwed up many people.

This happened to me. As far as I've analyzed it in my own head, it became a fantasy to become the sex object lusted after, internalized, in order to gain control over it in a narcissistic fashion in my own mind, as opposed to pursuing it in the external world. This is, interestingly enough, tied to issues other than just sexuality in my psychology. It has more to do with power and relating with the external world. The interiorized, idealized female became a fetish in that it was an identification with passivity, i.e. being acted upon. As opposed to acting. This is my biggest fetish that has developed over the years. My strongest fetish trigger.

The dominant theme of my life has been fear of confrontation, and this fetish latched on to this personality defect and... fetishized it. It was a magnification of the Nihilistic Impulse for self-destruction that addiction can be. Part of sexuality is seeking the opposite manifestation within yourself. Either being an "other" in the existential sense, or being an opposite or complementary personality type (masculine/feminine, independent of your Sex, male/female).

In the case of porn induced Gender Dysphoria, the object of desire becomes an internalized psychological construct thus changing self-image, either due to wanting to possess the power of the object, or desiring the attention that it receives.

@Congrelous And did your fetish vanish? Any tips other than stopping PMO?

Fetish goes the longer I go without PMO, yes.

Any tips other than stopping PMO, same as the ones for stopping PMO. Meditation and exercise.

Whatever roots you in your body and reality.

You can't outrace habit and brain wiring.

@Pureheart, maybe (don't quote me on this please) you are a homosexual? I think people who have thoughts and feel this way are just having a really hard time accepting they are gay. It seems completely ridiculous to me how some people want to change how they natural are. Sexuality wise anyway (off topic)

No, as I said I am not attracted to men. Also gender and sexuality are two different matters.
I have never watched gayporn in my life nor do have I looked at the guys in pornclips so far.
So I am very sure that I am not gay.
Yeah I also think so, changing your body doesn´t seem wise to me, so I would never do it.

I believe that you are correct that your fantasies of being in the female role are the porn screwing with your mind. You're not attracted to males, and you don't want to become a trannie, but the power of the porn industry to draw people in to progressively more and more bizarre content in order to provide the ever-fleeting next biggest high is well known. I'm another pilgrim on the NoFap journey, not an expert on the topic of your particular question; but it seems highly logical to me that enough duration of hard-mode no-PMO would be the very best tool to rewire your mind away from whatever irregularity that porn has planted in it. I wish you all the best. Stay strong and clean, Pureheart.

I read somewhere that in porn they make the woman seem that she is enjoying it the most and she is the one that is having all the fun and pleasure. You are not the first person to experience this; there are other people on this site that have had the exact thing happen to them. I believe after a reboot it does go away.

Yeah I've had those issues. They've pretty much vanished now. I'm not even on a long streak but pursuing nofap has reduced the amount that I do fap and watch porn so I think that my biochemical balance is closer to it's intended state because of that. Sometimes I do feel like I'd like to be a woman but I don't think that feeling will ever vanish because I did get those feelings as a child. I still remember seeing Tomb Raider as a kid and I wanted to be Lara and when we played harry potter on the school ground I always wanted to be Hermione. I'm quite sure that when I was a child it wasn't about being a woman though. I think I took to those characters because I was quite weak and I found it inspiring to see the weaker sex doing things that require strength in one form or another. Lara is still one of my favourite action heroes to this day.

I am in the same shoes now. I am progressing very hard, but nost just with no PMO and reduce MO as minimum as I can. But what can I say to you that GO OUT AND SOCIALIZE. The most important thing is HANG OUT WITH GUYS!!! I have experienced significant changes about this since I am doing this (And I am doing this only 10 days ago). In my childhood I rarely had thought about "being a woman" (I quoted it because I never thought about wearing woman's clothes or else, I just wanted to be fcked, but when I was fapped to this fantasy, I always imagined myself as a woman. (I fapped only 1/12 times or so in my childhood), but I pretty much could function as a real man.

So my purpose now is to reduce this gender confusion thing at least to the level when it was before PMO.
