It looks like a main factor for building muscle is the amount of androgen receptors available which, in turn, seem directly related with the dopamine and dopamine receptors.

Given that reasoning, I would expect heavy fappers to be skinny. I myself have always been quite skinny.

Now since porn addiction, as other addictions, has a detrimental effect on those receptors, anyone has experienced the influence of porn addiction on muscle building? And maybe a reversal of that after quitting PMO.

Doubt there is any correlation, I started at the gym around May of last year, to date I haven't been nearly as dedicated as I should have been, and I still packed on lots of muscle. Also during that time I PMO'd heavily. Muscle gain is more genetic. I'm 6'2 with a large build, and in that 1 year, with partial dedication, put on more muscle than most guys do in 5 years.

I don't think it's directly related, at least the connection between the two is not significant enough to produce visible differences. However, as we know, semen retention might result in an increase in testosterone, at least at the first 7 days, which is a huge factor in muscle building. The other relation I might think of, is that abstaining from PMO might increase your aggression and motivation, as a result of keeping all that sexual energy in, instead of releasing it, which might result in more intense workouts.

And finally, the dopamine receptors. Dopamine for sure is quite important when it comes to motivation and even muscle growth, but the link is not strong enough or at least convincing enough to take it seriously. As we know as well, serotonin, contrary to dopamine, might have a negative impact on muscle growth, but does that mean depressed people gain muscle more easily or that we should get depressed to have better gains in the gym?

Long-story short, the three important factors in muscle growth are proper exercise, proper nutrition, and proper rest. That's all. Everything else is secondary and probably too unimportant to have any significant impact.

No. I always did regular bodybuilding session when I PMO before and now (I PMO like 4 times in 6 months) and I can't see any difference. I fappers are skinny as you said I think it is more because the lack of physical activities and not PMO itself. In biology many reasonings make sens but are not true in practice ;)
