Hi guys, in the past few months I've been really struggling and have decided to go back to using porn blockers. Problem is, I cant seem to find one (thats free) that actually works, the ones I've looked at can easily be disabled with no effort, and are essentially useless. Has anyone here found a blocker that actually works?

If you find one with a passeword
Here this website to do strong password, that you won't able to memorize:
    https://passwordsgenerator.net/

    It will greatly help you.

This is my problem, I can easily make a password that I cant remember, I could even delete the password so its impossible to remember it at all, but its too easy to just uninstall the software and make all this pointless. I cant find any software that requires a password to uninstall. I used to use K9 Web Blocker but that messed up on my computer and now its been discontinued anyway.

I've been looking for a K9 alternative since it was discontinued. I'll check this out and get back to you!

As part of your strategy I recommend using SafeDNS.com. I’d set up my home router to use its DNS. I’d get an accountability partner and I’d have them set the password for your router and SafeDNS account. This way your home internet is blocked on any device.

Thanks for the recommendation, I have heard of this software but always thought it served a different purpose, I will check it out.

I already have blocksite, its a good first step but of course you can just delete the extension if you want to, as far as I know you dont need the password to get rid of it, just to access sites if you blacklist them.

Porn blockers and all that is a waste of time. Trust me if you want to fap you will find ways to fap. Im telling you this from experience. The only true way to quit NoFap, is you have to get busy, get 2 jobs or 3. Work ur ass off so much to the point all you can do is sleep and work. You only have to keep yourself busy at the beginning stages of nofap, after that you will regain self control and it does not take that much time. You will regain so much self control that even if you were ok with fapping you still wont. And thats when your at the peak of success. Because your self control has equated to strong discipline. Discipline is the end goal. Remember stay busy, distract yourself, change bad thoughts quickly as soon as they come, pinch urself when bad thoughts come, do push ups, what matters is you do something. Nobody said nofap is easy. Fapping is more addicting than cocaine. This is not a game, its a war. To win a war you need a plan and your plan is to plan 10 steps ahead of what your brain will try to find a way to get through. At the end its your mind vs your brain. 2 different things, your brain is what it wants and its based on what you do. Your mind is who you want to be and what you want to change.

Raw truth, i had to return to part time classes with so much projects and assignments and still im only 40% recovered

  12. Exactly. Porn blockers can only help you so much. Trust me, I've been using blockers for over a year now and I still find myself relapsing. You need to get yourself preoccupied and train your willpower and mindfulness.

I will not remove the blockers, since they complement my mission to get clean. However I will definitely have to find ways to stay busy.

  13. Well maybe not so drastic but I agree. You need to create more positive and productive patterns. Will it be a new hobby or reading books. If you want to fap or can't stop the urge you will find a way same goes with porn. I guess the blockers are a good reminders to yourself. If you get an urge and start googling porn related stuff having safe search addon is good first step then I guess having some porn filtering or blocker that will give you a blank page or some reminder page if you try to type a porn website.
