Take severe steps to overcome this addiction. Get an AP, exercise daily (this helps with memory), take cold showers, install porn blockers... If you want motivation then just look at your life and realize that you had an opportunity to do the job that you wanted and you let it go. If you want a better life then take beating this addiction seriously.

You sound like you've got it bad, so you're going to need to use every ounce of strength and focus in order to overcome this.

The cycle will never stop if you don't slam on the brakes. There's no way it will end naturally. If anything it will continue to get worse.

Saying that, a 41 day streak is pretty good going! What motivated you to stay away from porn during that period?

I feel that a real, tangible reason for stopping is the key to beating this. Just thinking "I want to stop watching porn" isn't enough for most people.

So you missed out on the job you really wanted. Many people here missed out on a ton of opportunities due to their addiction. Not having the confidence to talk to that hot girl, not having the drive or motivation to work on your CV, not even having the concentration to finish a book. These are all products of excessive indulgence in porn and masturbation.

Stop wasting time and start envisioning the life you want. Burn that image into your mind and don't stop until you've made it a reality.
