Hi all, I used this site for many years and stopped a few years ago after I found my erectile dysfunction went away enough. I wanted to come back and share my journey in the hopes that it would help someone. I had ED for a longgggggg time. I first noticed it when I was 17 and had problems getting it up until I was around 25. I'm 27 now and I'm not perfect but I'm at a place I never thought I'd be. I remember being depressed for years because I thought that my fate was sealed, but I want you to know that there is hope and you can get through it.
Through all of college, I was afraid to take girls home because I couldn't get hard with them. I did anyway, but faced a lot of embarrassment which made it even harder to get it up the next time around. I could still get hard to porn but didn't think anything of it. I had a lot of tests done over the years, from urologist consultations, wearing a device at night to measure my dick growth and even a penile injection and ultrasound to test bloodflow. When these didn't work I tried therapy, regular and sex therapy. Nothing was working and years were passing with no physical or emotional intimacy with a girl and it was eating me up.
I found this site and started to limit my porn use even though I was convinced it was a physical problem. I knew it was the last thing I hadn't tried and that I needed to do it to save my future. I really struggled with it and still do to this day. Something that helped was putting sticky notes on my mirror, 30 for each month (for the 90 days challenge). I would peel them off day by day and feel good about seeing my physical progress. The furthest I've ever gotten was 89 days (lol didn't complete the 90 day challenge). Even though I haven't beaten porn, I do it way less through this training and that has really helped.
I decided to take the leap and try dating even though I still had ED. This was what saved me. I had some rejections and a lot of misunderstanding. Girls thought I wasn't attracted to them and it was hard. There were two girls that helped me though. One wanted to date me even though I had the problem which was a huge boost of confidence. We didn't work out for other reasons, but I met another girl that was willing to help me work through it. Over time I felt less pressure and was able to fuck when I got morning wood. That relationship really helped me get out of the slump. I'm now in a new relationship that's almost 11 months strong and I've only experienced ED with her a few times.
I still don't get as hard as I'd like and I still have a porn addiction. I also take sildenafil every now and then that I got from Hims.com to boost my confidence since I still struggle, but the action I've taken has made all the difference. I'm at a place where I can move forward in life and have a meaningful relationship with a woman. And you can too if you keep taking action. Don't let years pass like me, do what you need to do now.
Thanks to the site creators and this awesome community. I'm not on here much anymore but feel free to reach out for advice or questions about my journey
