This is the first time you say that you don't want religion in your thread. Therefore I will respect not speaking to you,
since I don't believe you to be a person who would be willing to listen to reason anyway.
But as for the rest of the arguments, I will not take your word for it.
Still no topic belongs to you in my belief, so in my understanding if I wanted to, I could still respond to other people
who are not you and who will give their religious responses.

I'm not a lawyer, so I'm going to pass on this topic.
Seems like NoFap is a religiously intolerant site.

    End of communication.

No no, it's not the first time actually. Refer to my message starting with 'Guys, guys.' (I don't know how to quote multiple posts at once)

It isn't intolerant at all. Keeping dogma away from the more sensitive subjects of sexuality is smart. They allow it for personal journals to prevent an overreach, too.

To me "I made this account. To avoid religious discussion." is not the same as "I don't want religion in my thread.".
I suggest you state this very clearly for the future at the beginning of every thread so as to avoid pointless posts.

I completely disagree, but I do not want to continue to discuss this, cause I see no point.
From my side this topic is over.

It's funny how you can violate someone's comfort zone these days merely by mentioning religion, isn't it? Pavlov would be amazed.

I don't feel violated, it is annoying. Just leave, dude.

  7. Guys, come on!

Instead of writing something worthy Over-achieving atheist's time, some of you are trying to change this thread into a religious discussion.
I didn't know that my post would've stirred such a storm. At least, I think it's partially my fault. I bolded the most important information I wanted to share, which was the advice to get rid of PMO.

Also, I can't make somebody join Christianity, that's even against the religion's teachings, but because Over-achieving atheist used to be Christian it's only natural to mention some teachings and morality, since it's the knowledge we share.
It's weird that some people think that being an atheist equals being objective or being some default option. To me, it's just another form of religion which is characteristic of not believing in any God.

So, could you focus od giving some useful advice?

And, to more sensible guys, could you ignore anything that concerns religion and keep this thread clean?

Cheers and God bless (well, I won't be scolded for wishing anyone some blessing, right?)

No you will not be scolded for that, my friend. While I disagree about me being religious because of my atheism, I AM 'religious' because of my LaVayen Satanism.

Thank you for being reasonable, your advice was useful and I will be reflecting on it as I progress. Wishing you the best on your endeavor!

Hey man, I hope you're getting closer to figuring out what you want for yourself. I recommend you read this whole Wikipedia article if you have time: Kinsey scale - Wikipedia. It's basically an attempt to explain the homosexual-heterosexual dynamic. For all we know, you could be gay, straight, bisexual, trans, or have a fluid sexuality. All of these are fine. Also, it wouldn't hurt to read a bunch of theory and research on sexuality in general. But certainly cut the bad habits while you're at it. If porn makes you feel like shit, don't watch it anymore.

By the way, I see you're in the "new atheist" phase, and you seem passionate about the subject, which is great! But if you want genuinely helpful advice on this forum (already rare), you have pretty much forfeited any prospect of that happening by nature of your username alone. Not saying I will turn down a chance to help you - I'd love to do what I can.

And again, congrats for leaving Christianity and deciding who you want to be. Sorry you had to deal with zealot parents, I know what that's like. I am also a huge fan of Dillahunty - he's my #1 pick of the atheist logicians. #2 is Cosmic Skeptic (He's my current favorite overall, because he is also a strong representative of the ethical argument for veganism), and #3 is Hitchens (let's be real: Hitchens is the GOAT, but he is an anti-theist which is a harder position to defend philosophically, even though he makes it look easy).

Lastly, if anyone tries to explain to you what your sexuality is or should be, based on their own intuition or anecdotal experience, don't waste any more time with them. Just ignore or block them, unless you deliberately want to have a shitposting war.

Thanks for the comment, my man! You should check out Aron Ra if you haven't already. Easily my number one. I suppose you're right about my name, though. I wouldn't have made a big deal about it online if it weren't for my upbringing. I don't even watch much atheist content anymore, I like other stuff (gaming, furry videos, supernatural research, writing, and I recently finished my college search by getting accepted at MCPHS). It's more of a rebellion than anything else, even if my parents aren't aware of any of my online footprints. Hell, as a Satanist if I was doing it solely for attention I would have mentioned that in my name instead. lol

I will for sure check out that link you sent. Sounds interesting. Wishing you the best!

It said I was a solid 6 when I took one of the tests. Assuming they aren't 100% accurate, I can safely assume it is at least a 5. Lovely!

Wow. I am 40 and thought I have heard everything. But trying to convince someone to “try not to be gay” because he maybe want to have children one day (you can even have children if you are gay, genetically), is just wow. Sad.
And I know that with 17 (in my case the truth hit me with 13) I knew for certain that I was gay. Even after having the first PMO sessions in those days with straight P. So yes, with 17 you can be sure of what you are. But then you can never be to sure what and who you will become. The book of our life is written day by day. That is the only thing that makes me think I can overcome this journey. When I am week today, when I give in today, when I fall today, tomorrow is another day to win. (If that makes sense)

Well, I didn't literally try to convince him, just threw in a perspective of things. I know having children (of my own) was my lifelong dream, but I also know I'm pretty unique in this, so yeah. To each his own.

And yes, you can genetically have children if you're gay and in a gay relationship, if you employ a surrogate mother for this purpose, if that's what you mean... This is a really fucked up idea if you ask me, but the world IS becoming more and more fucked up, so - like I said - to each his own. I couldn't care less about the OP having or not having children, and I don't mean to persuade him into anything.

    1. llWell maybe you are under stress and you use porn as a copy mechanism. Which brings you more stress and puts your in a cycle. I think you should stop worrying too much about it cause you already know what your sexual preferences are. Like some straight dudes here who get addicted to gay porn after needing more and more dopamine in order to get off. Maybe this could be a senario. Just be yourself and dont let any dogmas or people tell you how to do things. Good luck

Well, most surrogate mothers are used for year now by heterosexual couples who can’t have children on their own, so, nothing new and nothing fucked up. For me.
