A lot of these are probably duplicate views like someone earlier in the thread suggested, but that's still a lot of people anyways. I would love to see how many unique visitors actually visit or even what country is in the lead for views. And considering how normalized and humorous people find the viewing of porn, it reminds me of the david goggins quote, "It's so easy to be great nowadays, because everyone else is so weak". Now I don't support the egotism that the nofap community sometimes shows just for getting over an addiction, but you should feel good in fighting it. It should be a reminder that you're far from the only person with this issue, and at least on here we're actually trying to change. And it should also remind you that every day you don't submit to your temptation, you're fighting the herd, you're fighting the normalization of a potentially addicting activity. I don't believe every porn user is an addict like some might say, I see it mostly the same way as alcohol and drugs because I haven't seen much evidence that definitively says even just casual porn use more than not causes addiction(not saying the evidence isn't out there, I personally just haven't seen anything like that).

I don't know if someone mentioned this already, but what we can do is to at least not be part of those numbers.

The processes of demoralization which we are witnessing now have been on going for well over a 100 years. Many people have tried to stop this, and paid with their lives for it and have not succeeded.

Hard to pinpoint the exact time but you could pretty much say all this have started with the Frankfurt school of Marxism.

 

As they say don't be a statistic, but of course the million dollar question is how do you do that?

I say don't just go with the bigger number.

What I mean is this: The largest population is also likely the most ignorant, and this applies to lots of other things. If you just try by will power and keep a counter without doing anything else differently, then you have nothing more and should expect nothing more in terms of success. If there's a high failure rate or the streaks are short for most then that's exactly what you can expect.

And even when people have long streaks that doesn't account for depth. Someone can maintain a streak for physical and sensory abstinence but the don't touch and don't look approach doesn't address your mind at all. And if you don't do that, why should it be hard for any coercive industry with a ton of resources to continue to manipulate you, or come up with something new to do so? Which by the way is the entire "porn for kids" things logic. IMO a lot of people NEVER had any real individuality because their entire life is about conforming*, so they really know nothing about thinking for themselves on any level, and probably on any topic. You can doll up a zombie and that may even appeal to you sexually on an instinctual level but it's still a zombie.

That said, even the person with the least success deserves credit and recognition - for the simple fact that you're trying, and a huge majority of people don't bother to try at all.

It doesn't even have to be about sex, the basic MO of manipulating people by taking advantage of them at a lower developmental level has been happening on a mass scale for a long time hasn't it? It takes different forms but plenty of people in a position of power have no interest in helping people reach their true potential, quite the opposite.

Take something seemingly innocent like the childish taunt "you're such a baby" - why is that a negative thing? In terms of the naivete sure, but that's also when there's all this potential. And the [other] child (or adult) making the taunt is likely doing so in the context of something that people should "know", in other words just the way most everyone does things but it doesn't actually explain anything, and they have to resort to an ad hominem attack and put the other down.

You can set Google Search to filter out sexual content if you want. You can even password protect the filter. So there are SOME means to defend your kid.

Nothing will replace proper upbringing, obviously.

Still, porn is very unlikely to actually come up like that when surfing online, unless you visit trash websites like Daily Mail that actually lure you into porn-related content.

If your child is specifically looking for porn, he's pretty much always going to find it, no matter what blocks you set up. So, like I said, proper upbringing and dad talks is the way to go.

Also, People's Republic of China has a complete ban on online porn (which isn't really effective), so moving there is one option, I guess.

learning and talking to children better than blocking porn only.if we and our child understand that porn is like drugs and watching porn cause to addiction , maybe controlled us and do not open any porn site.
