I'll start this post with good news...

Today is my 115th consecutive day without PMO. I'm proud to have made it this far, especially considering that my longest previous streak was just 18 days.

The bad news, I'm afraid, is that I feel very lonely, and I have been experiencing quite a lot of mood swings on a day to day basis. On at least a handful of occasions (in the last week or two), my loneliness and depression have brought me to the point of tears.

I had heard that after reaching 90+ days, it gets harder to stay on track, but I did not expect that I would feel as bad as I have been feeling, considering that I have been eating fairly well, sleeping sufficiently (7.5 hours/night) and exercising regularly.

Can anyone give me words of positivity or hope? I feel so empty and frustrated and disconnected, and it's hard for me to feel optimistic about anything right now, even after achieving a streak that I never would have dreamed of reaching just months ago.

Man alive 114 days! That’s incredible! I’m brand new to this site and I start my journey of revelry today! 114! Is inspiring and knowing before then your bst was 18 shows me it is possible to overcome! I share in your pain like many of us when it comes to loneliness and depression, it’s hard man, it really is but keep moving forward! Breakthrough is on the way! From what I just read, full reboots can take up to 200 days and some people even go further! That’s great! And you are very much on your way! I am sure more and more breakthrough will come and I pray this initial struggle won’t last long. Keep going buddy!

Just scan the forum a bit bro. It's called post acute withdrawal and it's incredibly common. Just keep pushing through

You are not alone. I was also hit by severe depression, anxiety, mood swings when I reached 200 days mark. What really helps me is understanding that depression is cyclical by it's nature and it will pass anyway, it never lasts forever. I'm saying this from my own experience as I'm living with depression the past 3 years with all ups and downs. It's very hard and I still don't know the reasons why I got depression, but I assume it has lots to do with my PMO addiction. Rebooting is a long process, it might take many months or even few years, especially for those who were addicted for decades. You feel bad now, but it will pass, believe me.

You have done a wonderful job my friend! Keep on moving. In my experience such feelings of loneliness and depression are baseless. Maybe you don't get yourself involved in social activities. Go out talk to people find friends and maybe partners. Don't be afraid to express yourself as you are . We are all unique and so you are. There are lots of positive and good things to explore and find out about on earth .

  7. Look up PAWS.
It's the same in withdrawal from drugs like cocaine and can take up to 1-2 years. Depression and anxiety are very common. Goes to show how bad porn really is...
You're not alone. Although very painful, it's also an eye-opener.

You're not alone. Life is a struggle. Are you seeing friends often? Are you connected with family? How is life going?

I’m in the same boat, but mine’s happened earlier. I just reached 45 days and feel miserable. Low self-esteem, little pleasure in life, depression, anxiety through the roof, and a few physical issues including stomach discomfort and slight indigestion, and lingering “flu-like” symptoms including muscles weakness and fatigue. It is really hard to stay on track but it helps seeing posts from others and reminding yourself that you’re not alone. We’re in this together. And we will be victorious as long as we forge onward.
